Why wouldnt they though? they farm out the work to a massive company like Deloitte.....would be stupid to disagree because people would appeal etc. . i would hope that they would just stamp them otherwise its a whole waste of time and money!!!!

Thats my feeling as well but none of us have been confident of a win since we have heard that some claims have been unsuccessful. But we do think these have be found at the Deloitte stage and they have been informed quite quickly no claim.
But my brain hurts from convincing myself I have a claim to convincing myself I dont!

I think the problem would be that they would have to go off site and do this at a post office with all the claimants details, not just go to their franking office and print off envelopes.

the waiting isn't getting any easier is it pinknico, I am getting really fed up with it all now, as I sense ou are also:mad::mad:

To be honest, it is not as easy as di thinks. If only it where.!! FSCS would not send out all the cheques special delivery. If you think realistically about it, how much would it cost, when you think about the volume of post they must have apart from ours. It would cost a fortune and i'm afraid their budget would not allow this, unfortunately!!
We are lucky if Goverment depts use 1st class mail let alone Special delivery. I work in a Dept with huge volumes of mail and it would not happen i'm afraid,

Very fed up today busbyh, I am lucky though as a manager has reassurred a decision letter will be sent out this week, I just want to know if there will be a cheque with it. And if the strikes go ahead when will I see this letter?

Do we know why they were unsuccessful?? sounds like we are claiming the same bad advice/options etc........plus these SP Policies suck and all agencies except Barclays think so?!

So do Deloitte write to you to first then pass it to FSCS...i know im acting a bit dumb but could someone tell what the process is before my brain melts into my keyboard?!! :)

One of the later one's where told this, just said a decision would be sent out and would not discuss the content, but it was the cheque, so fingers crossed.:D

Honey2's friend was unsuccessful as they had a transcript of the phone call, and apparantley, the advisor told her everything she needed to know, even told her about the 15 day cooling off period. From what Honey2 told us she had no chance of winning on this one. I don't think there was anything left out. She was either new at her job or was trying her best to put her off taking out the PPI as she knew what a rip off it was.

IN OTHER WORDS SHE WASN'T GIVEN BAD ADVISE - JUST THE OPPOSITE IN FACT

Also I was told Deloitte calculate the claim and then send it to FSCS for the final decision. Think this is just a final check at FSCS s, before they issue cheque.

Well im kinda glad my fella was a total jack the lad then?!"!" and only after his commission!!?!

I think anyone who got sold one of those PPI should be compensated, who would knowingly take out an extra £22K ( in my case ) for nothing?!?!
