OMG, I thought I had heard it all with regards to Picture, but phoning you on his mobile:eek::eek::eek:.Did you make a complaint about the phone call?

there is someone on the site, Alyson I think or maybe honey2, who had probems with them using made up salary details etc.

When did you send in your form to FSCS. We are just under 300 and they rcd ours 12th Sept. It is going in chronilogical order. Ours is with deloittes now and I am hoping it will be through within the next few weeks;)

Do you plan on taking this further with regards to a missell on the loan

Good luck and keep us posted.

    EDIT

Did you get any rebate when ypu cancelled Insurance. We cancelled ours and all we got was a £2 reduction in the repayments!!!!!!!!We had made 30 payments - I think

Yes the cheeky sod called me on his mobile saying about his commission!?! when i raised it with Picture, they told me he no longer worked for them, i said i could get my mobile phone provider to check the numbers as i knew the date..but it would of been pointless?!! just another example of them being crap in my opinion

I sent the forms to FSCS in December 08 so i was hoping to have it done within a year?!!? didnt realise they have so many complaints about them?!! well i do now?! i got a rebate of £2k off the original 22000 PPI - wow!?! i think my payments also reduced by about £5....but that was after they increased about 8 times with their vague increase in repayments policy?!!

I would think that the FSCS will work this out for you. I have no idea how they came to arise at that amount and your repayments only reduce by that much??

I think that once everyone is paid out too they will do this increasing interest rates again. Just to be sure they do not lose out.

I never complained to FP about it. My PPI was with an unregulated broker and I have a complaint in for the rebate received against the insurer. Very complicated and very long winded.

When you say when you cancelled you only got £2K back, did your repayments reduce also? They should have done.

Your rebate should have also rebated some of the interest against the PPI too? You would not see this as a "rebate" but you would have it reflect in the repayments being less per month cause of the interest?

    Hiya,

Yeah i got a massive £5 off i think...but this was around the time they were increasing the monthly repayments almost monthly because of the interest rates, however i did notice they nver came down again?!?! im just far too cynical arnt i!? :) i didnt actually realise there were so many people out there like me...its driven me mad over the last year!!!

Did you state in your claim form about the phone call? I would think you have an extremely good case here.

Out of interest, how much commission was he to receive:mad: just to upset me even more:mad::mad::mad:Oh I hate Picture with a VENGENCE

The main reason for delays was waiting for them to decalred in default. Deloittes did tell us, nothing at all was done with them until that happened. They more or less said they would be filed away until D DAY!!!

Well I don't know what is in their terms and conditions about this but usually this is all taken into account when they settle your claim.

What FOS would do in a case like yours is to work out what your loan would have cost without any PPi and what your settlement WOULD have been without PPI and then what your repayments would have been without PPI and pay it all back to you but this is the FSCS and a different story.

Yeah i think your right !!!! to be honest whatever i get with pay off other bills and save me alot of money each month....just wish i never went with them and got conned?!! it was nice though seeing people actually win...i guess we just have to be patient...

Funny think about picture is when i quoted the daily interest rates they claimed to use they had no answer !!! headless chickens the lot of them..and they have conned alot of vulnerable people out of alot of money

These commissions DO NOT have to be actually disclosed but they usually have in their small print that the broker would receive some. Also commissions are not actually paid by you as such and as a "commission" payment but are paid over by the lender to the broker cause they got the silly person to sign up to a ridiculous PPI that is actually another loan with a hell of a lot of interest.

Thank goodness, marshallka we are rid of them. As I said in my post to you last night, we have saved an absoulte fortune to date, imagine how much it could have cost us. Doesn't bear thinking about:mad:

I don't think they decreased them by very much, certainly not as much as the banks did, and I am sure I read somewhere in the small print they don't have to. Could be wrong but I have read something with regard to them lowering the rates:mad: i'm sure it does not have to be at the same level as the banks. You may know on this one:confused:
