    Hi All,

Been reading this thread for ages!! and well done to you all, im also a fellow Picture hater!! my PPI was £22K and i cancelled it after reading about mis-selling etc, did the FCSC thing and been in contact with Deloitte and completed their questionaire recently and had to send a copy of my marriage cert as we had got married since?!! i have everything crossed for everyone as i have found them the worst possible company i have ever come across.....

I think im no 101 with FSCS so i have no idea when i will hear.........hopefully soon!! My main reasons for mis-selling was the old favourite it would help your application?? its a savings plan?! the 5 yr part too...not explained properly, and even after telling them we work for the local authority and have good terms and conditions with work and never had this kind of insurance they still pushed it! I even said the sales rep contacted me on his personal mobile telling me how much commission he was going to receive, however he has since left so i cannot puruse that.....has anyone else contacted Picture when they trouble paying and they have worked out your income incorrectly? they said were were on nearly double than we stated?!! miss selling at it worst..

Anyway good luck to everyone.....debt is a killer and its nice to see a good end for some of you in this picture mess!!

Whereby you say that your Income was incorrect this happened to us but with FP and we have proof of this within the SAR. We also have proof of our figures being given CORRECTLY, also they have a different wages address than that that was given too. It was only cause of receiving a SAR from them that we found this out otherwise would never have known but we are not doing anything about it as they could easily say it was a clerical error OR that they have accounts mixed up. I did contact the ICO about this and they said that they could easily worm out of it. I take it you are wanting to take yours further with the actual Loan then? If you do then you would need to ask the FSCS who you would need to complain to I would think. Good luck with the PPI.

    Hi MarshallKa,

I didnt think anything of it as i know/knew Picture were useless so them cocking up the figures was just normal for them?!?!

Im waiting for Deloitte to make a decision on the PPI, its been a bloody drag...not as long as some of you ..but it feels like an age!

Were you successful with FP then?

when i cancelled my PPI ( about 8 months i got a rebate of £2k, my main gripe was that i am still paying an extra £20k for 25 yrs for something which is useless and i never wanted??! i not an angry man honest?!?! :)

OMG, I thought I had heard it all with regards to Picture, but phoning you on his mobile:eek::eek::eek:.Did you make a complaint about the phone call?

there is someone on the site, Alyson I think or maybe honey2, who had probems with them using made up salary details etc.

When did you send in your form to FSCS. We are just under 300 and they rcd ours 12th Sept.08 It is going in chronilogical order. Ours is with deloittes now and I am hoping it will be through within the next few weeks;)

Do you plan on taking this further with regards to a missell on the loan

Good luck and keep us posted.

    EDIT

Did you get any rebate when ypu cancelled Insurance. We cancelled ours and all we got was a £2 reduction in the repayments!!!!!!!!We had made 30 payments - I think and did not make any claims

I never complained to FP about it. My PPI was with an unregulated broker and I have a complaint in for the rebate received against the insurer. Very complicated and very long winded.

When you say when you cancelled you only got £2K back, did your repayments reduce also? They should have done.

Your rebate should have also rebated some of the interest against the PPI too? You would not see this as a "rebate" but you would have it reflect in the repayments being less per month cause of the interest?

marshallka, I may have asked you this before, but do you know why we would only receive a £2 reduction in repayments. Even when we settled the loan the breakdown stated Ins Rebate 0.00:confused:
