Sorry to hear of your OH redundancy Honey2 but so glad you got your cheque AND can claim on the policy just to ease things a bit. Hope he gets well soon.x

One question, how can you claim mis-sellling and still use the policy. Surely the fact you are claiming on the policy establishes a clear need?

Financial advisor in insurance, mortgages, secured loans? That is how some of us got into these messes, by a financial advisor. I had one for our first mortgage. Never again.

We need a fully trained solicitor or someone from the FSA perhaps? They know there stuff in the industry. I think there are a few on here now that i could bet are from elsewhere:D. Mentioning no names but just have an feeling:cool:.

Apparently people on here are saying they are not redressed for misselling and that it is cause of bad advice and that is different and yet I have found some ombudsman decisions whereby he states the advice given was not correct and therefore missold.:confused:

You 're best off asking the FSCS that question.

    Financial advisor in insurance?

Did not go into details as we had lots of catching up to do, but will ask her to make sure when she rings over the week, I am hoping she will post on here before I hear.
I know both of her parents are lawyers, they moved to London some years ago, and were visiting some other relatives in our area yesterday, this is the first time we seen them in about 2 years or even more, it was a lovely surprise though.;)

I know a few people who are financial advisors myself. I would trust them as my mucca's but know them TOO well for financial advice. :rotfl:

The place where I worked for 14 years have a lot of financial advisors. I am still in financial !!!!! now though.

I would not have a clue........, my sister is a Chartered accountant in Cornwall, she is just over mid 40's and she used to bring her work home as well........been in this career for to what I remember since her early 20's, it was non-stop work I know that, and it would do my head in.

I think Deloitte must have dealt with our case, not too sure but saying that for any further queries we can now get in touch with the FSCS, as they deal with it their end, pass it on and the FSCS will look through it to review, so although it is not a fully explained email, it just said that......and made me think.

Can't she advise you Di if you know her well and maybe she can help with your problems and check your monies etc? I know that being a financial advisor can mean so many things as often a financial advisor specialises in financial advice of one sort. Its usually mortgages, tax, loans, insurance, that sort of thing. I think most of us on here have had it up to here listening to financial advice from professionals and that is why we are here. There are quite a few on here now on the mortgage side of things but not many on from insurance (or at least dare to say from insurance). Financial advice is a dodgy area now as so many put in claims later on in time after receiving "bad" advice. If you know her really well then maybe she can help you.
