I think Deloitte must have dealt with our case, not too sure but saying that for any further queries we can now get in touch with the FSCS, as they deal with it their end, pass it on and the FSCS will look through it to review, so although it is not a fully explained email, it just said that......and made me think.
Thats good then, you should be rich soon :T. Maybe you will need the financial advice for investment Di.:T:T

Can't she advise you Di if you know her well and maybe she can help with your problems and check your monies etc? I know that being a financial advisor can mean so many things as often a financial advisor specialises in financial advice of one sort. Its usually mortgages, tax, loans, insurance, that sort of thing. I think most of us on here have had it up to here listening to financial advice from professionals and that is why we are here. There are quite a few on here now on the mortgage side of things but not many on from insurance (or at least dare to say from insurance). Financial advice is a dodgy area now as so many put in claims later on in time after receiving "bad" advice. If you know her really well then maybe she can help you.

It would be a good idea, and will keep this in mind.
Going to see how things go now, and if need be then I am going to ask.;)

I may have read the email wrong though, in hoping they have done, looks like she missed a word out as well lol, rushing the email I expect lol, here is her email here:

The decision is made by Deloitte but then passed to the FSCS so they now how it and are possibly reviewing it. Give them a call for any queries and im sure they will be able to help you.

    Best wishes

Wonder what that missed word was, I didn't like to email back, but have left an email with FSCS anyway, as I imagine they be gone home by now.

Have to wait until Monday now to see what they say, I think they were working overtime last Saturday, but that was to sort out backlog payments I assume.

One question, how can you claim mis-sellling and still use the policy. Surely the fact you are claiming on the policy establishes a clear need?

Would need to claify this with the FSCS

According to Honey2 who has won her claim and copied the letter fom the fscs on here, she has been advised her win was based on bad advice, this was stated on the letter from them.
Maybe the FSCS interpret it differently to FOS/FSA and are not looking at it as mis sold. The bad advice being from Picture staff and not the Insurers. Therefore laying the blame on Picture and not the Insurers, which would make the Insurance still valid. Honey 2 has also received her NCB and has put it a cliam for redundancy payment, therefore FSCS must be looking as missold and bad advice as two different reasons.. As far as I can see it can only be a good thing, as at least some are getting back their NCB., so why concern ourselves if it is to our advantage.
