    Morning everyone!

Well it really feels like autumn now, which is quite depressing as we go on our summer hols tomorrow! Lets hope the weather in Somerset is better than here in Wales, or it is going to make for very soggy cycling...

MS Diva: are corned beef pasties as simple as they sound? Am going to make pasties for my husband's lunchbox when we get back from holiday and was going to make Cornish ones, but I'm thinking that corned beef would be cheaper? Just need something to fill him up, he is permanently starving! Bought him a new flask yesterday to put HM soup in, am going to alternate between soup and pasties I think.

Molly41: We are building up a nice collection of the glasses from McD... don't actually go there very often but took the kids there as a treat before going to see Ice Age in the cinema and both me and my husband had meals which came with free glasses. We know someone who works there and she asked if the kids wanted them too with their happy meals! So that meant we got 5, and added together with one that my husband got when he had a sneaky drive thru one lunchtime :naughty: we now have a full set of 6!

Hilstep: Good Luck with your appeal. My mum is registered disabled and before she retired she used to hate all the beaurocracy (sp?). Some days she would be better than others and could have probably worked part time on those days, but you couldn't guarantee that a good day wouldn't have been followed by a week of bad ones!

Lots to do today, need to get everything ready and packed for holiday and also everything ready for back to school as I don't want it to be a mad rush when we get back from hols! Have even planned my meals for the w/c August 31st so that I can go straight to do the shopping when we get back. At least the kids are at my mum's so I've got peace and quiet to get everything done! And I am taking a cool bag and ice packs on holiday with me so that I can buy yummy goodies in farm shops and farmers markets and bring them home to incorporate into my meal plan :D

Hope you all have a good day!

redruby - If you are in Taunton on Thurs or Sat night and anywhere near the Wetherspoons pub (the Perkin Warbeck), then go say hi to the DJ - he is my OH!

Thanks hun, if we are anywhere near, i will pop in :D, we thought we would visit the Cheddar gorge too it looks great.

Happy Birthday to Catznine, have a great day

Yesterday morning was spent doing a mountain of paperwork for the solicitor, and I went through all my filled paperwork and got rid of anything not needed, dd and I then burnt all the old stuff in the bbq :D it felt good to get rid.

Need to pop over to the mortgage broker today, get her to sign some papers and then post off. I also need to start packing for tomorow, still not done a thing, still everything is clean and ready, just need to pack clothes and food.

DD and I also watched the film Marley and me, it was very good and we wept buckets at the end.

Picked a load of runner beans yesterday, need to get them blanced and frozen today. Also give every thing in the garden a good soaking, and hope that it lasts the week while we are away.

Hoovering and mopping to do, one wash on the go, and another to follow, not sure whats for tea, either hm pizza, or quiche.

    Have fun all xx

Hilstep, poor you, hope you start to feel better soon xx

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello:Hello!

Thank you for the birthday wishes! :D Just sinking in how old I'm getting :rotfl:oh well better than the alternative! I was treated to a theatre trip out in London last night - we saw Dreamboats and Petticoats, at the Savoy, with masses of songs from the early 60's! It was a fab show - everyone up dancing at the end even Mr C :rotfl:That almost never happens!;) We had a fab meal at Chez Gerrards in Covent Garden before hand (from the special price menu). As there were 4 of us we got cheap rail tickets and used the money we saved to book a car to and from the station to the theatre, so we avoided the underground which was great as our friend has a "new" knee and I avoided rush hour standing up on an over crowded train!

I have been spoiled, Mr C gave me a much wanted and drooled over electric jam maker (already made some lovely plum jam) Miss C and her bf have given me an i pod shuffle so I must now try to figure out how to use it! I also have beads and posh tea!

Off out to MS centre with a choc cake for everyone and then have a funeral to go to. Not someone close but a lovely old gentleman who touched a lot of lives just by being the gent he was iykwim. Tonight we are out to our local pub for a night of live music.

(((hugs))) to hilstep hope it goes well for you!

    love and (((hugs)))

    Catz x

    Hiya all.

I'm new to this thread but I love nattering so I think it will become a favourite...:p

Happy Birthday Catznine! I hope you get to do what you want all day.

I'm currently having a lazy morning as I've technically been signed off work for a week (I have a whole throat infection ten days before having surgery on my tonsils, blah) but we've agreed that due to the sheer amount of annual leave that everyone else is on, it's just not possible for me to be off that long. So I'm heading in late and leaving early... It's like a dream come true! :rotfl: So I'm going to get my kitchen all sparkly (OS Style seems to work best) with bicarb and vinegar on my hob and oven and lemon and vinegar on my surfaces and later, I'm even going to get to do some batch baking.

I know there's a whole remoska thread but would you seasoned old stylers recommend waiting until Christmas to get my Remoska OR buying it with the money I'm getting for my unused annual leave and starting to make electricity savings now? Especially as I'm moving into a house with a meter next month. My new house :D that I'm painting at the moment.

I hope everyone else has a good day and gets better weather than North Wales today. Ta-ra!
