Well this one's not something I can charge to clients, will expense the 40p/mile allowed by the tax people, but obvioulsy it just reduces my taxable income rather than me getting any money and obviously not until the end of the tax year and I get my tax return in :rotfl:

still not spent any money though :D Friends wanted to go out for drinks tonight... I had orginally declined due to the complete lack of cash... I guess I'm lucky they can't bake and I can! They have told me that if I bring a cake, they'll buy me drinks I guess I got a good deal on that one :rotfl:

Feeling peckish now, will make some pancakes for me :D

Edit: Edin, we got our wired crossed, I've just realised you're talking about next Wednesday - that's my hols so no can't claim for that :rotfl:, I was talking about the October-trip-that's-going-to-drink-most-of-my-petrol lol
  • right, had my pancakes :D, got some left over for tomorrow as well and cake is in the oven. Gonna jump in the shower and get ready to go out :p

That is so nice and just how real friendships should be - the cake and drinks thing I mean. Hope you had a lovely evening.
  • I had a great time, civilised grown-up drinks lol. It was nice of them, and they are indeed real good friends I have know for more years we care to remember :rotfl:
  • Yay, it's September, I am allowed to spend (some) money again :D, but I didn't :j Actually won't be spending any of my September budget until I get back from holiday as that's a separate pot :p

Right now, there's a mad flurry of activity around as I'm trying to pack (that doesn't take long though) and do another god-knows-how-many-things before going. Giving myself another 10 minutes break on here :p and then back to running around like a headless chicken!

  • Back from hols, suitably tanned and rested :p. Been a good girl and have hardly spent anything while away, so the money I've got left over has been rolled into next year's holiday budget.

I've started on my flylady efforts, doing my own version though as the one on the "official" thread doesn't quite fit. I now have a list for each room and I've even managed to do all of today's tasks :D

Need to go food shopping tomorrow for fresh fruits, veg and cat food - I've decided that this will be my only spend day till the end of the week. I suppose I could go today but I'm suffering from a touch of "thermal shock" and don't want to venture outside cos it's waaaaaaaaay too cold :p :rotfl:
