    Yay, well done then! :T

It's so easy to get sidetracked on here so well done!
  • Have spent some (unplanned) money today :o as I had to post something, but it came out of the loose change pot, so does that count?

Will definitely have to go and buy some food tomorrow - have used the last 2 eggs and I'm nearly out of fresh fruits & veg, but I've still got £15 so that'll be plenty. However, I am going to use some of "next month's money" to fill up the car with petrol before the increase on 1st September. I'm going on hols a few days after that date so I won't be using any and it'll be a few pennies saved. While on the subject, since my holiday money is separate from my normal budget, what I am not spending in September should (hopefully) make up for most of my overspend the last couple of months (have I lost you yet or are you still with me on that one :p)

I was just about to say isn't the return to normal duty an extra couple of pence per litre? I can see why those who drive hundreds of miles a week might be upset but I strongly suspect that most people won't be hurt too badly (much like the 2.5% extra VAT people will no doubt be moaning about come 2010).
  • mission accomplished :)

Yeah I know it's only an extra 2p a litre, but given my budget, better in my pocket than the government's :D I've saved 70p :rotfl:

Can I throw in the counter argument that by driving around with a fuller tank for an extra couple of weeks you may have reduced your fuel efficiency, cutting out the cost savings on the fuel? Or would that just be **** stirring? :D
  • lol I know, I normally only fill it up to 1/4 :rotfl: unless I know I have a big trip coming up where I'll need a tankful :D However, I do have such a trip (business stuff which will use 3/4 of tankful) due early October so
  • Well, nothing to report  Had friends round most evenings this week :D
