You have been CONNED out of £1.40. That is a disgrace. You should report the matter to ebay, the police, local MP, and pursue the matter through the small claims court. Low life sellers like that should be strung up and must be erradicated.
Either that or you could get down from your high horse, take a few breaths, repeat the mantra "it's only £1.40, it's only £1.40, it's only £1.40, and then have a nice cup of tea.0 -

The amount of money isnt the issue. Maybe you should reread the thread.
Although if you buy 100 items and get overcharged 1.40 on each that £140. If you can afford to loos that money thats up to you but others can't.0 -
Thank you Cyberbob and if there doing that with every item and they sell 100 items then they are making £140 and not paying any fees on it, which isnt fair on those that list the item and a postage price that is roughly what hte postage and some packaging etc costs!0

You were happy with the price you paid for the item.
You were happy with the sellers advertised postage fees.
You're happy with the item itself.
How the hell do you make three happies add up to a miserable? No, Mr A, that is NOT 'Great news'!!
Wombling totals: Oct = £243.32 - £93.32 over target!
Nov Wombling Tally: £27.36 so far... behind target

People need to stop complaining and inevitably starting arguments about P&P fees on this board. It's getting so old now. If you don't like, it don't use Ebay. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Was it 'nearly twice' or was it the ' 3 times' that you stated in your first post? I don't agree with massively overcharging on postage, but I also don't agree with exaggerating things to make people agree with you.sunnysea83 wrote: »
So i emailed the seller and asked why postage was 3 times the actual cost and item sent in a used bag so wouldnt have cost them a penny to use (other than a bit of standard selotape)Most recent wins: IPad, Jamie Magazine yearbook, Links of London friendship bracelet, Baumatic ice cream machine! :j0 -
Sorry i menat i was over charged by £1.60 not £1.40
actual postage was 90p and i was charged £2.50
so what was trying to say was
I was charged nearly 3 times what it actually cost her to post
I was charged £2.50 - it cost 90p so 2 x is £1.80 and 3 times is £2.70 so i was charged nearly 3 times the amount
so she made nearly twice what she spent on postage i.e. 2.50 - .90 = 1.60, so she maid 1.60 nearly twice what it cost to post and and i paid £2.50 which is nearly 3 times what it cost her i.e 3 x 90p = £2.70 and i paid £2.50
I was lookin at her other listings and she has 10 listings for this item in various colours etc and each listing has at least 10 quanity and therefore ive worked she makes over £160 in just over charging postage! thats a lot really. when you think about it.0 -
Jesus. I certainly hope you never buy from me. You have issues.
I should also probably point out that as far as I am aware you can only report "excessive postage" before you purchase an item. Quite rightly, ebay think that if you have bid on and paid for something you agreed with the costs involved.0
