He needs to just to claim on his insurance for the phone tho - a crime number, or whatever they call it. If his phone isn't insured, of course, its a more personal matter. Hope he feels okay, considering what's happened, thats *very* scary.

No insurance, the phone was an old one - didn't work half the time so they won't have much luck if they're trying to sell it on!

    Exactly

In nicer news it's payday today and with all the various bits added together I have £1,253.27 this month. I'll work out some sort of budget in a bit.

Yay :) that *is* better news. I'm with Taxi, wishing sometimes that I had a steady income. Mind you, I've been so slow getting over this pleurisy/virus, whatever it was, I'd probably have lost my job by now.... better I'm as I am, so to speak.

Going offline now - round to my partner's house for our weekly chinwag - hope the rest of today is okay, Squizz.Speak later

Well he's spoken to the police - they weren't massively helpful but are coming back tomorrow for a proper statement.

Just realised that my council tax is in fact 3p less this month :rotfl: Actually I was paying some arrears so the monthly amount will go down as of next month - the statement they've sent me is for 10 payments but if I can spread it over 12 it will be £61 a month.

The council tax news is good! :)

The police won't help :( but if the thieving toerag throws it away cos he can't resell it, and it reappears at some stage, he might even get it back, you never know, stranger things have happened.

The budget's good! I can see why you're thinking about somewhere cheaper - but it would still bring up all sorts of questions that don't seem to want to be raised at the moment
