    Hiya Squizz

Those aims for March-June are really good - offset the £10 extra you spent with the extra repayments you made, you still come up in the green.

Sounds like the issue of where you live "officially" might be coming to the fore - if you were paying Mr Squizz a bit of rent, and helping with the bills, its really a win win situation for both of you, isn't it?

I like your way of looking at things :)

Hmm yes, but I don't really want to push it, I still think there's an emotional issue with him over it.. had another weird dream sort of connected with it all the other night too :o

The emotional component to these things is often really different from the practicalities, irritatingly! You offered to help with the bill, its all you can do right now.

I do wonder if he likes the idea of 'being the provider' somewhat - or feels that he should do - he tends to 'not let' me pay too often for shopping, meals, stuff on holiday - and even though he does earn more I suppose times like this come up where suddenly things are a bit tight. Think for now I just need to pay for a few more things and keep finding him savings!

I think you're on to something there, Squizz - its so hard for a bloke since us feminists tore up the rulebook, they're sort of damned if they do and damned if they don't. Your plan is the right one, I'm sure - look at your post about the weekend, you're having a lovely time and pulling your weight, who can ask for more? :)

Thanks Yargo - that's a lot of reading! Nice to see you on my diary, hope you'll stick around :)

It's the only plan I can come up with at the moment Karma, so hopefully it'll help.

Had a very work-free day at work today, meeting then lunch, then a retirement do! Mr S is off to a posh awards ceremony thing with his dept tonight so has just headed off in his suit (not seen him in a suit before!) and me and the cat are settling in for a quiet night. Lovely evening so might go for a walk/ run in a bit:.

Hmm well, I had a quiet night... Mr S got in about midnight, got into bed, I asked him how it was, he said "it was good.. I got mugged on the way home" :( He is OK, bit bruised and grazed and they got his phone - he was more upset about losing all the texts from me that he'd saved on it, bless him :o He was pretty drunk which I think probably helped a bit with not getting too hurt, they guy only seemed to be interested in getting his phone and nothing else. He is under strict instructions to get a taxi all the way home next time and not walk from someone else's house even if it is five minutes away.

    Not slept much... sigh.

And bless him for worrying about the texts, how lovely.

He's not yet, he wasn't in any state to last night and he couldn't make his mind up this morning - I think he should in case it's something that happens regularly round there but not pushing it if he doesn't want to.
