I am a bit out of touch with bills seeing as mine have been included in my rent for the last few years. I guess it isn't too bad, just not too nice having to pay it all at once!
The stripy draught excluder I made is quite nice, I might have to create a coordinating rangeDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Feel rubbish this morning, tired, bit hungover (only a couple of glasses of wine though!) and really stressed by work... but found out yesterday I've got an interview! :j Yay but.. well, see below...
Lazy copy and paste from daily chat...
Got a bit of a dilemma over the interview too - we are meant to be going away for the weekend and are due back about half an hour before the interview. Obviously that's cutting it a bit fine.. OH thinks we should cancel the weekend away (it's to visit his family) but I think it's a shame to do that for the sake of a bit of time - I think I'd feel really cr*p if we don't go and then I don't get the job! He thinks it would look bad to ask them to reschedule the interview though - any thoughts? Am thinking about seeing if we can get an earlier train but suspect it'll be expensive and he'll probably say I shouldn't do that even if I'm willing to pay for it. Aaargh!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Tut.. stressing about this and new train tickets to get back earlier would only be £30! Kept waking up worrying about it as well.. grrrr....Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Morning! Had a nice weekend, looked after the best-behaved kids in the world on Saturday night - they are so sweet! Had fun showing them the things growing in the garden and explaining how potatoes grow
Payday tomorrow so just been updating my figures - I've added the normal debt payments on so far but also have £60 left from this month's wages.. plus an extra £100 with my back pay this month and my £50 other job wages to come so need to think what to do with that. I do want to knock my debt total down to a nice round number so will do that shortly! Holiday is paid for apart from spending money and the last night's hotel.
I am definitely going to the job interview at the time they allocated - not made a final decision over our weekend away yet though. I think Mr S is stressing a bit about money - after the big gas bill and his car needs a bit of stuff done to it soon - he hasn't said anything outright but just a few comments he's made. I offered him money towards the gas bill but he wouldn't take it, guess I might just have to try to do a bit more food shopping etc to make things easier on him.
Gonna revisit my 'to the end of March' plan in a bit and see how it went - try to finalise this next quarter's one too.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

1. Pay off £625 - £685.38 (maybe more by the end of the month)
2. Stick to my running plan - done OK, pleased with the race.
3. Keep looking for a new job - got extra one here (which I think I can carry on with even if I leave normal job), got interview for one elsewhere coming up
