Hooray more Waitrose bargains tonight - my tea is a 50p chicken caesar wrap with some chips I had in the freezer. Am at home tonight for the first time in something like 24 days! Got friends staying at the weekend so need to tidy up a bit, and got a couple of things to pick up from post office in the morning. Feels weird though!

Hmm not only does it feel weird, it feels cold! And noisy, as upstairs neighbours are stomping about and shouting at each other.

Have got into bed to keep warm. Not got any earplugs though!

Must get the running back on track, only been doing 2-3 mile plods in the snow, but I have a race to train for. And I weighed myself tonight, Christmas food has not been kind and there is about half a stone that can go!

OK, I'm sure my boss has radar - both yesterday and today I've popped online for a quick read of my email etc and right at that moment he's walked in!

Had to spend some of my toiletries budget  £3.70 on hair dye - badly needed though, it is a mess! Should have been £4.70 but used a Clubcard voucher for £1. One thing I have learnt whilst trying to save on things like that is that really cheap hair dye is a false economy, with the odd exception I find it really isn't as good and doesn't last as long.

Picked up parcels from the PO which were birthday pressies from various relatives - all very useful, lots of socks, tights, and toiletries.

Oh and I have a less round amount in my bank account now so I have just transferred £1.56 to the nasty overdraft.

I think it might be! He's met them before when we went to Scotland for one of their birthdays, so yeah we will all be going out one of the nights they are here :)

Got another Amazon voucher on the way - quite fancy this - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Selfsufficient-ish-Bible-Andy-Hamilton/dp/034095101X/ref=ed_oe_h - or will it just make me yearn after ducks even more.. .:D

Well I got the voucher and bought it - note to self, cannot fit livestock in the garden... :D

Hmmm nothing much to update here except that I'm really looking forward to the weekend. Not got loads of money to spend (didn't pay cheques in quick enough to clear - stupid Squizz!) but got a selection of restaurant 2 for 1 vouchers etc so should be fine.

REALLY bored at work today, trying to be good and keep off the internet but I really have virtually nothing to do!

I'm stuck here till at least 5 as meeting my friends at station which is near work.. ho hum!

I will have to resist the livestock, sounds like the other ideas in it are pretty good too though. They have a website too which is good for a few hours reading :Dhttp://www.selfsufficientish.com/
