Thanks Beanie. Dunno if it's a post-weekend come-down but I am so fed up this morning. Really struggled to get out of bed, just wanted to hide under the duvet.
The whole house thing is getting me down too - said to Mr S last night that I would stay at mine tonight to tidy up etc after the weekend and he seemed a bit fed up about it, said I would spend the rest of the week at his if he wanted but apparently it's 'up to me'. I don't know if he wants me to be there all the time or not, and I don't know how to bring the subject up without sounding like I just want to save money. Any ideas anyone?Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Just be honest Squizz..
Say to him exactly what you said, I want to bring this up without sounding like its all about saving money but how would you feel about us sharing a place? I understand if you're not up for it, but I am just putting the question out there for you to think about.I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

my nephew who has severe autism, is now 18 and so out of the school system , he goes to a working farm type place where he gets a wee "job" and my sister gets some time off....
he loves it, i admire people who work in those kinda jobs....
and as for any other gardening talk, nope, just not getting it at all!!
ooooh, erin's school does a gardening club, sal... that is very noble of you too....
in the moving in debate... i think you should just tell him how you feel about him, say to him you can see he gets miffed when you're not able to stay for whatever reason, and discuss.... of course if you move in with him will you have places for pals to stay as per this weekend? as it sounds like you had fun.........I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

I think I would really enjoy it - it's the sort of thing I would do if I won the lottery as per yesterday's conversation (not that I ever buy a lottery ticket). It might even lead to an interesting job at some point.in the moving in debate... i think you should just tell him how you feel about him, say to him you can see he gets miffed when you're not able to stay for whatever reason, and discuss.... of course if you move in with him will you have places for pals to stay as per this weekend? as it sounds like you had fun.........
Yeah he has two spare rooms so I can't see that being a problem - and he gets on really well with my two friends who stayed this weekend (and they're the only two that ever really stay over).Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
i think the time is now....
you can even make a joke about how it is kinda money saving in a way, but you'll both benefit financially anyway, not just you...
but the real reason is cause you love the bones of him.....I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

2 spare rooms squizz....is he loaded
Well he earns more than me but not loads more - he had some inherited money and some help from his parents to buy the house. And his mortgage only works out slightly more than my rent per month :eek:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
