    Thanks :)

Good idea... but I have £60.55 and don't really want to break into a tenner!

Bit fed up today, got 'told off' for being on the internet too much at work. It's fair enough BUT I know that it was only done now because of other stuff that is going on in the department - political rather than anyone wanting things to be done the right way. Was even told that there are no complaints about my work or contribution to the department - and said manager wouldn't have a clue what anyone is doing if he wasn't 'informed' by someone else. Slightly annoyed too that he emailed me about it rather than talking about it, supposedly because he wanted it to be 'confidential' - how do I know who he's forwarded or BCC'd it to?

Anyway I guess I won't be on here much, still pop on at lunchtimes though. Makes me want a new job even more - if I wasn't so bored and demotivated I wouldn't be online so much.

In good news - got extremely bargainous shopping from Waitrose last night, things like salmon reduced from £10.49 to £2.99 a kg, so a nice big steak for 75p!

Love the bargainous shopping, but concerned for you about the email from the grotty manager.... does that count as a written warning? I'm concerned for you ............

Thanks Sal. Thanks Karma - no I don't think so, especially as it was all about what he'd been told by someone else and he made it quite clear he had no 'evidence' of anything himself. He does expect some sort of reply though which I'm still thinking how to phrase!

Thats okay then. Yep, take a bit of time over the reply. Not defensive but not "whipped" either, sort of thing.

I think I managed a decent one, not admitted to anything but accepted the point if you know what I mean (I'm not here by the way, obviously ;)).

Another Waitrose bargain tea last night, they seem to have loads of reduced stuff at the mo - 10p noodles, 19p stir fry mix, 99p chocolate torte... mmmm....

Fell over on way to work - it's so icy! Just what you want when you don't want to be coming in anyway

Your waitrose seems good Squizz. Whenever I go into mine the reduced items have like 30p off or 50p off something thats 2.99 or more so not worth it. Do you go literally at the last min of the day?

It's really random! Usually at 5pm-ish it's similar to yours, then it gets better later in the evening. But recently they've had loads of stuff really cheap - I think it's partly Christmas leftovers, partly stuff from the £10 meal deal.. and partly dunno!

Ours shuts at 8 I think so 7.30ish is usually pretty good. Bloke was saying that they'd been allocated loads of stuff for the £10 deal (like the noodles) but not sold it and just had to get rid of it. You can freeze them as well so we got quite a few packs! :D
