    Don't forget the security geese

Me and Pint have had many conversations about when I'm rich and famous, and we've agreed on security/attack geese. And our own smallholding :D
red, what seeds did you get? Am hoping to grow a few planty things this year

    Attack geese :D

Some newly bought and some saved from last year - I've got garlic (to be planted as soon as I can find some ground under the snow), broad beans, peas, cabbage, broccoli, spinach, assorted other green leafy things, onions, spring onions, leeks, two kinds of tomatoes, chillis, peppers, aubergines, potatoes, radishes, beetroot.. think that's about it!

Still trying to think how to broach the house subject. Wasn't sure if Mr S was expecting me to go round after work yesterday but we walked up the road together and when we got to the place I would usually head off home he just carried on, so I had to ask "erm, I wasn't sure if you wanted me to go home tonight" and he said, no, not unless I really wanted to, so another night there.. and this morning he locked himself out of the house so just as well I was there really :rotfl:

When I was in the Peaks ( Edale) in mid Feb and deep snow a couple of years back there was a Marathon being run in the snow! Those lunatics were running full-pelt down icy slopes!
    Is that a reguar run?

Monday again! Was a fairly quiet weekend (and no I haven't broached the subject of houses...).. did lots of cooking - I got this - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Forgotten-Skills-Cooking-time-honoured-recipes/dp/1856267881/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1263203004&sr=8-1 - with some Christmas Amazon vouchers and Mr S got a new bread recipe book so we have had lots of lovely things to eat! Planted some herbs and salad leaves (indoors obviously) - fed up waiting for Spring!

Money-wise, not spent anything this weekend, got a couple of cheques in birthday cards and sold something I put on a website ages ago and had forgotten about, so have an extra £58 to pay in/ on the way :D

Quite pleased I've not succumbed to the sales - clothes challenge is very motivating - and as for toiletries/ make-up that's quite weird, I ran out of my usual face cream when I was away at Christmas and haven't replaced it, and my skin is so much better! Not sure if it'll last but it's good at the moment, and it means having to use less make-up which is pretty money-saving too :D Not that I need to buy foundation for a long time - bought some a few months back and got some free from a Rimmel giveaway shortly afterwards so my stash should last a while.

    OK work.. I suppose...

:hello::hello::hello:Squizz I'm back! Not quite whole, but a billion times better than I was. How are you? Things are sounding *very* good with Mr Squizz, as well as dfw and challenges. its funny here - there's still 3 - 4 inches of snow lying, where its not disturbed, but people have suddenly decided to live normally again. I'm not, not quite, don't feel *quite* up to that yet, but I'm definitely on the way - regarding this as a "work" day, even tho at the moment I don't actually have any paid work booked in.

    I'm glad to be back!

It's good to see you back! :D

Yeah things are pretty good, work is the usual pain - well worse than usual due to some annoying developments - but otherwise all OK!

Yucky inbetweeny snowy slushy stuff here today, very slippy on the way to work. It's been snowing all morning but it doesn't seem to be lying. Going to look strange when it's all gone!

It will, won't it - I just examined the back of the house - leaking gutters have created a 3D effect with icicles - a couple are about three feet long, I must try to take a photo with the little webcame thats all I have at the moment.

    See you later
    xx
