Well that was a fun couple of days, in work briefly on Tuesday but then sent home cos of snow, off yesterday too, it was quite nice although I was a bit bored yesterday. Had a nice birthday, some lovely pressies from Mr Squizz (he even got me the handbag I'd been looking at a few days before
).
Still puzzling over what to do about my flat, can't find any help from council for deposit. I didn't mind spending half my wages on it when I was there all the time but it's just silly now and it would make life so much easier to be spending less. And to be honest, I'm not feeling the need to go home and have time to myself, we seem to have relaxed so we can happily sit in different rooms for a bit, i.e. Mr S was working a bit yesterday and I was downstairs reading (and then cleaning the bathroom cos I was bored lol)... I would so happily move in. Just not sure what he thinks! Ho and indeed hum.
Anyway, as well as the clothes challenge, I've set myself a £50 toiletries/ make-up budget for the year. I shouldn't need any make-up all year - got loads lying about - and have quite a lot of toiletries to use up, so it's really just deodorant, hair dye and a few other bits and pieces.
Got some very cheap veg and herb seeds yesterday - £2.14 for 12 packs of herb seeds in B&Q (should have been twice that but they mysteriously came up half price at the till!). Have done a little plan of where to plant what and should have a reasonable amount of 'crops' from early summer onwards.. weather and slugs permitting!
Work is incredibly annoying already... need new job, aargh!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Have you ever talked about moving in together? Might just be worth asking directly....at least you'd then know."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

Nope.. although before he moved into this house his old neighbour asked him if I was moving in and obviously I wasn't but neighbour said something about 'maybe in the future' and he said yes (although he was aware that I was listening in the next room - neighbour didn't know I was there :rotfl:). Maybe it is too early - it doesn't feel like it to meDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Maybe he's a bit worried about bringing it up incase you think its too much too soon. I would just come out right and say you understand if he's not up for it yet but let him know you need to move and if there is an option to move into together then you would CONSIDER it.I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Yeah I think I need to say something, just need to think how to word it.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Very frustrated by work today, as well as the usual annoyances, the atmosphere is terrible, all sorts of internal politics going on, really getting me down... sigh. Think a new job would help with the actual job boredom but I suppose everywhere has these issues.. I wish I could be self-sufficient!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
