Have a nice holiday Squizz.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Thanks!
Well I managed to transport the pressie on bus and on foot... luckily didn't fall over and smash the vintage wine :rotfl: Funny watching him unwrap jars of jam and sausages and big bits of cheese etc this morning. He really liked it, although he kept telling me it was 'far too much'! He seems to be in a better mood anyway, possibly coinciding with him having finished work.
Last day at work today, just seriously hoping the roads are OK tomorrow morning to get to the airport!
Feel very end of year-ish, will be so glad to finish and get away. Looking forward to next year I think!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Hellooo.. I'm back! Holiday was brilliant, last week was very lazy, I've eaten too much, spent too much.. although I've managed to avoid the sales apart from spending a couple of Christmas pressie vouchers - just as well as I've just been reminded when I logged in that I'd signed up to the £100 clothes challenge so need to add that to my plans for up to end of March...
1. Pay off £625
2. Stick to my running plan - 10 weeks till Kilomathon
3. Keep looking for a new job
4. Look for a cheaper flat
5. Do/ start some sort of training at work
6. Do/start some sort of other course not related to work
7. Spend no more than £25 on clothes
No major news to report... Christmas was lovely, not really done much since we've been back, think this is the longest me and Mr Squizz have spent together and it had the odd inevitable wobbly moment but was mostly very nice.
Have been planning what veg to plant this year - very exciting - I've even drawn up a little calendar of what to plant when
Money is tight for the rest of the month - have got a couple of friends visiting the weekend after next so will have to basically keep as much as possible of what I've got left for then.
Think that's about it.. oh.. and it's... the last day of my twenties today! :eek:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Some lunchtime thoughts..
1. Pay off £625 - £114 paid.
2. Stick to my running plan - 10 weeks till Kilomathon - a bit behind schedule here, but I surprised myself by running OK in the snow this week so can hopefully pick it up again.
3. Keep looking for a new job - nothing much on the jobs sites yet
4. Look for a cheaper flat - there's a few studio/ one bedrooms about at around £300 which would be OK, only real problem is having to find a deposit as I wouldn't get mine back on current place until I'd moved out. It's doing my head in a bit at the moment, paying half my wages out on somewhere I hardly spend any time in (I've not slept there since err 17th Dec I think!)
5. Do/ start some sort of training at work - lots of things are up in the air at work but will have to see what I can do
6. Do/start some sort of other course not related to work - can't pay for anything until after payday so going to have a look round for something starting end Jan/ beginning Feb
7. Spend no more than £25 on clothes - nothing so far, must remember to do surveys so I can get some vouchers as I'll no doubt need something at some point!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
