Don't know yet Karma, and not sure if I'll be able to go - it is a long way, and to be honest I'm not sure I can cope with it. Poor Mr Squizz, I woke him up yesterday morning crying my eyes out :o

I am *very* sorry to hear that.... he must have been so dear to you. Its getting to be a long delay now, with the date not even set. If you can't afford to go, its often a good idea to go to a local church, or set up your own memorial time......... stay with it, and **only** do what's right for you, including crying all over Mr Squizz. Even now, I hear my mum say things like "I wish when my dad died I'd.... " whatever it is - 40 years ago now, and shes a very old lady herself, and the regret that she didn't mourn her dad properly has stayed with her. Do what feels right for you.

It's strange though, because we weren't in touch much in recent years, and I'd never have described us as close - but this has made me realise that he did have a significant influence on my life. Some other family member's reactions have given me a very different view on the issues surrounding why we didn't spend more time together too. Sort of brings it home talking to my dad that I'll have to deal with all this with my parents too one day - although it will be quite different for me as an only child as opposed to him as one of eight!

Could do with a bit of time off from thinking though, tiring isn't it?

It really is......... ok, time off now - you need to *replace* it with something - if you just go with "empty my head for the evening" it wont work - find a dvd you like/book if you can focus on it. I'm going through DVDs of Stargate at the mo, and watching some of the extras - seeing Michael Shanks and Amanda Tapping talking 4 years ago about going to the conventions is quite funny. .... Okay, shutting down now - switch your head off if you can.

Well, erm, no offence but I won't be watching Stargate ;)

Home alone tonight so think I'm going to go for a run then finish my book and maybe watch a a film - I really need to get some more funny DVDs as a lot of my collection is serious or scary! Maybe something to look at if I get any Christmas vouchers.

Thanks Miemie. Well, I didn't get the job. Bit annoyed that I spent three days checking my phone, only to get an email - which was very general, but they said I could email for feedback so I have done that. Quite disappointed, I feel like I'll be stuck here forever! But can only keep trying I suppose...

My Christmas pressie from parents arrived this morning - very nice new digital camera, can't wait to play with that later :)

Had very dodgy stomach the last few days - I had to do a dash back from halfway through a run on Monday night, 2 miles of thinking there was going to be a messy accident!

Off to cinema tonight with Orange Wednesday thingy I think.

    Aargh, hurry up Christmas hols...
