:rotfl:Honestly, he has just enough of everything, although he does tend to spend a bit more on decent stuff so quality rather than quantity. And while I've been doing all this stressing and planning over his Birthday and Christmas presents.. I'm really intrigued as to what he'll come up with for me! He is obviously a cunning chap..;)Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Don't have very much to report from the weekend - Saturday morning I tried to go for a run, had no energy, walked back, spent the rest of the weekend being pretty lazy. Sure I must have done something constructive, erm, oh yeah I finished knitting a hat, planted a few seeds, erm, read the Sunday papers, erm, tidied up my clothes and stuff at Mr Squizz's (I have acquired another drawer - him not having that many clothes is quite useful!
)
Payday on Friday thank goodness, I have very little left from this month! Only got to pay for Christmas lunch today at work (£3) so should be OK for the week.
Just want this week to hurry up - 9 days till Venice!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
So far this week I have mostly eaten Christmas dinners, run 6.6 miles on Monday, kept checking the weather forecast for Venice - chilly with a good chance of snow - and that's about it!
Just starting to think I should probably have some money plans in place for next year, but, er, what?Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Right - I want rid of those two smallest debts - £65 and £385 = £450. I also have £1200 overdraft which needs to go as soon as poss (start getting charged interest on it in about six months I think, need to check). It's not included in my sig, suppose it should be as it needs to go now.
The other debts can just tick along as they are for now, £70 a month = £840. So that's a total of £2490 to pay off next year - may as well round it up to £2500! Doesn't seem like a lot but it's twice what I'm paying a month at the moment so I'll need to do a bit of work on it.
Obviously to be reviewed as the year goes on, depending on what happens!
Think it would be easier to split into chunks so by the end of March I want to :
1. Pay off £625
2. Stick to my running plan - by then I will have done the Kilomathon!
3. Keep looking for a new job - can't really put a time limit on that one.
4. Look for a cheaper flat (unless any "move in with me" invitations are forthcoming!)
5. Do/ start some sort of training at work
6. Do/start some sort of other course not related to work
Might think of some more...
Edit - debt when I totted it all up in Aug 07 was £10493 now £8779. Going to add overdraft in so new sig time.

Hi squirrel,
Sorry to hear about the interview, probably just wasn't meant to be. It's definitely their loss though. Really hope you find something in the not too far into the new year.
I can sympathise with the OH and the clothes thing, my OH I think has about 3 t-shirts, 2 pairs of jeans and a jacket. And that is it apart from work clothes. I would love to sen him out with Gok Wan or Trinny and Susannah and get him sorted! Have bought him a jumper for Christmas anyway...
Have you tried taking the scarf back even without the label? You never know, they might be feeling generous...you might get a credit note at least.
Loving the financial plan for next year, I think I might borrow the idea if you don't mind. I need a general plan, never mind just a financial one!LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -
Thanks Katy - of course you can borrow the plan idea, it's made me feel a bit more in control than the usual blind stumbling into the next year!
I've decided to stick with the scarf, I'm sure he can wear it with something. Ordered some very cosy looking alpaca/ merino socks as well but they haven't arrived yet, just emailed to chase them up.
Had a good run last night, 3 miles in 26:33 - although I was supposed to be doing 4, I forgot!
Today I am just freezing cold, got caught in soggy snow on the way to work and can't get warm.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Not updated for a few days.. so...
*sort of copy and paste from daily chat* Had a bit of a funny weekend.. OH was huffy on Friday because I was going out and he "hadn't seen me all week" but we sorted that out I think (I dragged myself back on a 7.30am train with a hangover to crawl into bed with him)... he's been very up and down though and I feel like I'm treading on eggshells a bit. Sunday I was going to do some last minute Christmas shopping (replacement for part of his pressie that hasn't arrived - the socks) and then go for a run, but got caught in a big downfall of snow, stumbled round the shops in a daze not finding anything and then slipped and fell on my knees - ouch! *end copy and paste*
What else, I got paid Friday so that's good! Am all organised for going away apart from that other little Christmas present I need/ want to get. It's Mr Squizz's birthday tomorrow so I have to somehow transport the hamper bits and pieces to his - was hoping he could pick me up in the car at some point but it's all snowed and iced up at the moment so hoping for a thaw today. Feel quite nervous actually, I hope he likes it, doesn't think it's too over the top... I don't know!
Only two days left at work anyway.. and assuming that roads and flights are OK hopefully this trip will be good.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
