I really do fit the Capricorn stereotype I think - in both good and bad ways! :o

    And thank you! x

Good luck for it Squizz - I wasn't on here this morning, v stuffed up, so couldn't send my usual vibes. Usual vibes therefore going to you and to the folks reading the application forms!

Woo hoo! Thats great! You have to practise the awkward questions for a bit now tho! Thats really good, actually, you only had a couple of hours to fill in that form, didn't you? Brill!

  • Yep now the interview panic sets in (must admit my initial reaction was :D followed by 'aargh no I'm not going' :o). Did the form in about an hour and a half so quite pleased with that, although I did do quite a lot of copying and pasting from previous applications ;)

In other news.. had a good weekend with my mum, her meeting Mr Squizz went well, and I managed to only spend £30 (food, cough medicine and shoe laces, mostly!) all weekend. Really tired today though, feel like I could do with a day off to recover!

A few worrying moments when my dad phoned about my grandad, they called all the family into the hospital on Thursday night, but he is still holding on at the moment - up and down every day.

It was good (? in a supporting each other sort of way, although we didn't talk about it) to see my mum at this time of year, today would have been my big sister's birthday, she died of problems caused by an immune system disorder when she was 4 and I was just over a year old. I only vaguely remember her but my parents always talked about her - it wasn't that I was 'told' about her at any point, she was always still part of the family. I often wonder what it would be like if she was still here.

Well it was expected as you know, but my grandad died last night. Although we weren't close, lots of little memories that make me smile - trying to not think about the family issues which are not untypical I suppose, but very sad.

Feel a bit overwhelmed by things today.

Thanks Maz, I'm going to miss my Christmas chat with him this year. I've spent the morning reading some of his academic papers online (he was a psychologist/ lecturer/ researcher), never saw any of this stuff while he was alive so it's strange to see his work that he sort of mentioned but I suppose I wasn't that interested as a kid.
