Thanks Karma, I'm very tired this morning, but OK. I think we both have to make an effort but I had the not very nice realisation that while I know I can be feeling down for no particular reason I don't often appreciate that other people can be the same - he does get depressed, I know that, but I still assume that when that affects me it's because I've done something 'wrong' or upset him. He does the same with me though. Its part of growth - its a good sign, means you've got beyond the superficial, you're connecting on a deeper level now - walking in the other person's shoes.
xxx gotta run - extra work, post office, blah. Take care of yourself, specially cos you're tired.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
What KC said xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Well last night was much calmer, went home, went out for a run, got absolutely soaked but it was good - 44 mins for 4 miles including a big hill
Had a lazy night and a good sleep, bit of a lie in then off to pick up a couple of things from the post office and walk to work, very chilly this morning and I was starving (nothing for breakfast at home
)- popped into my local Tesco as they usually have reduced sandwiches in the morning, but they didn't so bought the cheapest one which was £1. Still doing OK on the £5 budget then! I will admit I really wanted to get the bus but I kept thinking how big a proportion of my budget that would have been :rotfl:
Oh, the things I picked up from the PO (bear with me, this is a long story) - well you know I was trying to resist the lure of reduced Nails Inc varnishes last week... I had a £5 off voucher (from Coke Zone, never actually bought anything to get points for there but had built up enough free ones for a voucher) which I'd used to order a reduced varnish a couple of weeks ago - they didn't have that in stock so had asked what I wanted as a replacement and I'd got that a few days later. Anyway, there was a thread on the Freebies board the other week saying that Coke Zone were giving away a mobile phone charger for 0 points, so I'd tried to order that. Turned out it was an error but they'd given everyone who'd tried to order it 20 points to make up for it... which is coincidentally enough for two £5 Nails Inc vouchers! So, Squizz thinks.. gets vouchers and orders a couple of reduced things, a varnish and a foot cream (maybe for me, maybe a Christmas pressie) which were £5 each, so I only had to pay the postage. But - guess what - those were both out of stock! So they let me have replacements which were both full price items so should have been over £20  Sooo.. I go to pick up some parcels from the PO this morning and there is the two full price items from this week PLUS another one of the replacement item from the first order (no idea why they've sent me two!). So all I've spent is about a fiver towards postage and I've got four things worth £30+ for nothing - somewhat accidentally but can't complain!
Off to cinema tonight - free preview tickets - I like free things! :jDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Very satisfying indeed - I'd never pay their normal prices, £10-15 for nail varnish, madness, although it is good stuff which I would never have found out if not for this site and the £1 offer that was on a while ago. I have nice nails at the moment - considering I used to bite them really badly when I was younger and they are not very strong this is unusual for me but a nice little ego boost in a vain and girly way:rotfl:
