Oh, according to TV Licensing site you can watch iPlayer etc without a license, as long as you don't watch them at the time of broadcast but afterwards.. so if I ever get round to sorting laptop that could be handy!

But as for the texts.......... ah, the txtg generation! It were different in my day, we had two tin cans with a string between 'em.....

Sorry, I'll stop the medication now :rotfl:

I bet you had to walk 12 miles to school in the snow in bare feet too...? :rotfl:

Essentially I should stop being so lazy, I can get on MSN on my phone so should use that more rather than texting so much, that would be free :o

Do you have internet on your phone? I just go through that, the mobile site is OK but a little bit fiddly, you have to keep refreshing to see new messages.

The more I think about it, I only watch TV out of habit.. background noise.. nothing I'm that bothered about missing. Might treat myself to a DVD rental subscription if I do decide to get rid of it, but that would still be cheaper than £100+ per year...

Just having a look - Tesco have a 3 disc per month one for £5.85 so £70.. hmm not that much cheaper. Think I've done most of the free trials at some point but can check that out too.

or there is good old radio getting the laptop fixed and watching on iplayer ?
