venice in the snow would be amazing!

If you take a gardening course then I have the ultimate gardening tool....a 13 week old puppy. Great for weeding, in between biting fingers!

I went to Venice in Jan one year - it was lush :D

But it doesnt usually snow over xmas because its too warm now - usually more likely in Feb time...(valentines :p)
  • Morning!

Don't mind too much about snow, very excited about the prospect of going away for Christmas though (Easyjet flights only £50-ish as well :) )

Hmm might pass on the puppy - am covered in scratches and stings and midge bites from gardening and blackberry-picking over the weekend... what a good weekend, Friday I made chutney, Saturday went for an 11 mile walk, visited local alpaca farm and picked tons (well lbs) of blackberries, Sunday went to local city farm's fair, patted some pigs :rotfl: , got some veg growing tips, made blackberry and apple crumble, and blitzed the weeds and overgrown bushes in OH's garden.. happy me :D (and I spent the grand total of.... £0!)

Totally and utterly fed up being back at work this morning

  • Copying this over from the DFW 12 week plan thread - more plans, I dunno! Plans for, well, the next 12 weeks....

    1. Pay £500 off debt - (£416 off cards etc and the rest towards overdraft)
    2. Save £500 for holidays/ Christmas/ course I want to do etc
    3. Go to gym class every week
    4. Run at least 3 times a week, aim to get up to 10 miles for my weekly long run

Why dont you break them down red into a bit each week and then you can cross them off bit by bit...works for me on training plans :D

Also I remembered your wool today so will get that sent off asap!
  • Thanks Becky :)

Yeah I've been trying to think how to break it down, I'm a bit stuck with any of the money things until payday apart from trying to earn a bit through surveys and stuff.

Have put a new line in my sig but 3 runs and 1 exercise class in a week sounds a lot less daunting than 36 runs and 12 classes! :rotfl:

OK - how am I going to pay £500 off debts and save £500?

Money saved for smallest debt (not listed above) to be paid off at end of Sept = £146.
Normal monthly payments for end of Sept, Oct, Nov = £270.
    Total of £416.
Leaving £84 which I want to put towards my overdraft (not listed above either) so that needs to come from wages that I don't spend or extra raised somehow.

And then £500 savings also to come from unspent wages/ extra raised. I get paid three times before the end of the 12 weeks so that's 3 x £350 'available' money after the bills are paid = £1050. Minus £584 = £466 or just over £155 I can spend each month. This is do-able but very tight considering I have some trips already planned in the next couple of months. Will have to see how much extra I can manage to raise from.. somewhere!
