How much do you need to save every week to make the £500?

£41 or £6 a day - you have £11.67 every day left over so you need to feed yourself for £5 a day basically and have no life for the next two months - going to be tight!

Can you revise xmas budget or put course back a month or two and make it saving £3 a day - much easier to achieve :D

Can see what you mean but I feel like aiming high and seeing if I can get there

To be honest I don't really have a Christmas budget - I spent about £100 on it last year including presents, nights out and travel.. was thinking more of the possible Christmas trip although obviously I will buy some presents, there might be quite a lot of vouchers from surveys and homemade things going on ;)

  • Feeling in a bit of limbo money-wise, can't do much until I get paid and so want to get on with paying off debt. Trying to do a few surveys so I feel like I'm doing something but not getting much through at the moment.

Had a bit of a funny moment with OH last night due to 'technical difficulties' (broken email and not hearing phone) meaning that we both thought we weren't speaking to each other but had no idea why. It was sort of comforting to know it's not only women that get neurotic and paranoid - both as bad as each other! :o

Knitted my first Innocent Smoothie hat (http://www.innocentdrinks.co.uk/thebigknit/) last night with a little bit of wool I found under my bed - first time I've knitted anything that wasn't just square/ rectangular so I'm very proud :rotfl:

I have wrapped up your wool - I tried to go to the PO yesterday but  the queue was out of the door!
  • Thanks Becky.. when I've done a few hats I might try and advance to socks or something, nice cosy winter ones! Talking of which I found a lovely warm cardi last night that I'd forgotten about - had been thinking about getting a big cosy one for winter but I've already got one, mmm wool, angora and cashmere :D

  • Umm.. I may have overspent on my budget for the month - something I wasn't expecting to have to pay for until after payday, but I did.. so, it's done, and at least it won't have to come out of next month's now (and it's a nice thing, hotel for a weekend away walking :D ) Only a week till I get paid as well :)

  • Cleared out the containers in my garden last night, picked the last of my potatoes which will have for tea tonight I think, checked on the garlic which is almost ready and the few beetroots that have grown are not far off either :)

Managed a little (very little) run this morning which was a good start to the day.

Had no leftovers for lunch but managed to talk myself out of chips from the canteen and bought some cheapie noodles from the supermarket instead.

  • Aww thank you Mazster x

The Christmas trip is looking quite likely :D We both expect parents to be a bit huffy about it but will no doubt see them at some point over the break... it's probably better in the huffy stakes than choosing which lot to visit though!

indeed, could be a tricky one... best avoided!
