Thats great Squizz! Do you do any extra dfw work, like mystery shopping and whatnot? Scratches? I'm just about to post a total on my thread for June.....
Nothing at the moment apart from cashback. Oh and Consumer Pulse, which gets me about £10 a month in vouchers. Used to do loads of surveys but it doesn't seem worth the time/ effort for the amount you get.
Of course the above is assuming that nothing changes! If Mr S asked me to move in we'd jointly be about £550 a month better off :eek:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Without that rent to pay, and just a contribution to Mr Squizz, you'd be *so* much better off, wouldn't you! Its obviously headed in that direction, I hope it all hurries up soon xxx2023: the year I get to buy a car0

And if you moved in with Mr Squizz...you could probably throw another £100-£200 per month at the debt
Its such a shame that Mr Squizz's job is so dire and that its really affecting him...can't be easy and I know exactly whats its like!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Of course there's much more to it than the money, but from that point of view, it's mad isn't it. Even if I paid half of everything, I'd still be £150 better off.. and he'd have an extra £400ish!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Thanks Sal x
Is it wrong that sometimes I just want to shake him? He won't speak to his manager about either the lack of work, or the cr*ppy work that he sometimes has to do that is nothing to do with his role - if there's no new jobs out there (I'm assuming he's still looking as he hasn't mentioned it for a while), then he could do with trying to sort this one. Also.. if we were living together properly, he could afford to do something that paid a bit less, or wasn't permanent, to get some other experience and do something he actually wanted to do. Sigh!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Maybe you should have the conversation about him taking a lesser paid more fulfilling job...maybe he feels he can't at the moment but if you suggested the move for that reason it might give him something to think about. I mean you practically live there anyway, apart from when your friend was down how many nights have you stayed at home in the last month?I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. Hmmm.. none! In fact apart from when friends or parents have been here, make that none this year!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

so there we are...if he had a problem with you living there all the time you would be going home regularly! Just think of the money you could have saved, its a huge amount to be paying out unnecesarily. Ok so if you say to him about it, what the worse thing that he could say? Actually I don't want you to give up your place, or im not quite ready for it yet....I think you might be suprised how happy he might be!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. Well there's that, which would hurt a bit, but at least it would be a straight answer.. or "aaargh no go away scary woman" :rotfl:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
