So many excellent charities on this threat, thought I would add a cat one in here. I foster abandoned pregnant cats and kittens for a small local charity in Herts/North London/Essex.

Our charity has a lady who takes used stamps for us and sells them to raise money - they are bought by collectors in the UK and overseas: weirdly enough I used to collect stamps as a child!

The address to send stamps is the charity shop is : Scratching Post, 107 Lancaster Road, Enfield, EN2 0JN. Reg. Charity No1105653.

Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

The charity I work for BRACE-Alzheimers Research, Frenchay Hospital, Bristol BS16 1LE is happy to accept used stamps. All funds raised from the sale support research taking place in the UK into Alzheimers disease and other forms of dementia. PLEASE ensure you put sufficient postage on the envelope as failure to do so can mean it costs us more to get the stamps than they are worth. THANK YOU

ISTR that, about 3 years ago, I sent my used stamps to:

    Stamps for Charities
    Education Distribution Service
    Freepost FPN 772
    Castle Road
    SITTINGBOURNE
    Kent
    ME10 3RL

The pot is now full enough to consider sending its contents. Does anyone know if that's still in operation?
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Redwings are always grateful for stamps, the sale of which helps them to care for abused horses and donkeys.
