lol, it was the taste. She didn't even see the date.

It's not a printing error (I had the same thought at first), it's clearly 03 and printed on every foil lid as well as the cardboard outer cover.

Throwing it away isn't very MSE. That stuff is expensive (and a waste of money IMO)...

I'm not out to get anyone sacked and that is highly unlikely to happen. Anywhere between 3 and 15 people would be responsible for the product rotation and it'd be impossible to pin it on one individual. (I used to work for Tesco!).

The point that's made me angry more than anything is this is not a simple, singular error. The people who do this aisle have consistently failed for FIVE MONTHS to see that the item is out of date. That's not 'human error', that's dangerous incompetence.

Note to those without a sense of humour: My subject is tongue-in-cheek. Je'ez.

Contact Environmental Health, all Tesco will do is give you your money back. That does not address the fact that they are selling out of date products, which is a hefty fine to the store/company for having OOD products on sale.

Have you ever tried shopping in the chiller isles it's warmer at the north pole, no wonder the staff are'nt very attentive. If you stay too long i'm sure you'd get frost bite, now that's one for claims direct, "Tesco gives customer frostbite in chiller isle":rotfl:

Actimel is, you're right. Drinking it (well, half a mouthful) probably will do her no harm whatsoever. But what else are they missing?

Tesco are beginning to sound a bit like a shop near me once who were still selling REAL christmas trees in February, they needed to get rid of the stock

Look on the bright side, at least she wasn't hit on the head by a falling pineapple!
