Tesco tried to kill my mum!

I'm in shock.

Tesco just tried to kill my mum.

(ok, I exaggerate :p) but she's just taken a mouthful of Actimel that we just got back from buying in Tesco, and nearly choked on the spot. The use by date is 28/03/09 !

Disclaimer: I know. Check before you buy/consume.. but .. that's taking the pish.

Going to go down and have words and send a strongly worded letter to their head office I think. I'm getting angrier by the minute.

How lucky your mum is - the taste warned her there was something wrong. I guess she does not usually check what she is buying to make sure the date is still in the future.

Someone at Tesco made a mistake in their stock checking and overlooked a product, careless but human error - how about forgiving that person and just taking it back for a refund - I am sure they will see you right and someone who is earning the minimum wage will not be sacked for incompetence. Who knows what they were thinking of when they were checking that shelf. Possibly something quite important in their lives - possibly not - but do you really want to get even with that shop assistant?

Did she almost choke because of the taste or when she spotted the date?
