its ok - calm down, and stay cool - solicitors never send letters by hand via their clients.....

if this woman thought she had a case you would have had a REAL solicitors letter in the post - she is bluffing and bullying you .....

put in into another envelope with a covering note to your solicitor - saying this is what you have received today and take it to their office so that s/he can deal with it first thing on Monday morning

I have sent an e-mail to our soilicitor already stating we have had the letter, except in my haste said it was from her solicitors. They are trying to intimidate us then?Just had a good look at the garden gate, cannot close it properly now, they have broke the bolt, bent all out of shape,i just shouted "criminal damage " over the garden fence, childish i know, but.
Also they have put a big heavy box/crate at the back of the gate their side,to stop any access to the right of way we have used for 21 years.

take a photograph of the damage and the black box

do take the original letter to your solicitors offices over the weekend if you can - it will make you feel as if you are actually doing something rather than getting more and more wound up stuck on the house

if you want to (altho your solicitors will probably have done this already) you can download the map of your property ("Title") from the landregistry.

    from ""http://www.landregistry.gov.uk/wps/portal/Property_Search""

for £8 (£4 for a title and another £4 for a plan) you can download now all the information and the map and any rights of ways and easements which your property is entitled to.

Just bought and downloaded both, had a feeling that we may already have them.Anyway got them and they are what we already have in our possession.
I know i am veering of fences/boundries but we have a copy of the house conveyance, but they are dated 1950,but the ROW is mentioned,"and together with ROW over the common yard or passage at the rear of no.4 to 14 ,the passage between no.8 & 10".

then you know now that your solicitor is right when s/he says "don't worry"

dont forget to take a photo of the damaged lock and box and include that in the envelope to your solicitor
