I must be a mummy because I watched that and all I could do was worry that the little girl would get up and hit her head on the open drawer!!
    I thought that too!!

It appears so - they didn't say anything about a problem getting hold of it. Comes in two mtr widths apparently. The issue is with the bar which will join the matting to the carpet cos I'm having it the full width, not just an inlay (cos it's carpet, not wooden flooring). For 1.54m x 2m and the bar, they estimated £100 - I know that's expensive for a doormat, but not if it saves the beginning of a long stretch of carpet in the long run, I thought :)

Rhys is still up.. lying on the change mat, watching the news atm :o

Will tell MIL its one of those things she's been meaning to do for about a year but not sure where to start so just gave up:p

I think that sounds reasonable cost to me. :)
I wish we'd sorted things here because if I could come i through the back I could leave the pram in the 'solarium' but nope, its full of various bxes of crap!

    omg that video _pale_

i am quite impressed today, seth has only napped in the cot and hasnt got himself overtired! i have to feed him to sleep while laying in the cot though but i'm quite happy with that, i'm just glad he is in it!! he's been in it at night for about 6 weeks or so now with no problems at all but was still refusing to go near it in the day. i dont know what clicked, maybe he remembers what happened last time he slept in the bed!!

Haha she IS weird. OH says it's cause she is from Singapore, and they are very open and forward, would have no qualms about telling you, that you are fat! When OH's sister went over for a month to visit, they told her she was fat (she was a size 12/14 I think?) Fat to them, as they are all like rakes, except ONE cousin of OH's, she's a big porker, and the family always say things like "Oh yuzi, get out the fridge, your bum is getting too big" It's never malicious though!

Anyhow, they told her she was fat, yet totally fed her loads of food (they all eat loads anyways) she came home 1 month later a stone and a half heavier. OH didn't recognize her when she came out the airport.

Whilst she is odd, she does make me laugh, she's easy going :)
  • My MIL was having the 'any more kids' conversation and told Chris to get the snip as it wasnt fair leaving it to me to sort it out all the time :) She can be really dead on about a lot of things, but is a very strict catholic in others, and it gets to her sometimes that her baby boy didnt marry a good catholic girl !! Oh well, you cant have it all, a good catholic girl wouldnt have given her the 2 cutest grandkids in the world ;)

My Mum wanted to be with me for both of mine, I have later found out, but I wouldn't have wanted her to see me in pain! I would be worrying too much about her and, for that matter, I worried about DH too! I only had him as my birthing partner and sent him home until things really got going. I think my MW thought I had been abandoned and constantly asked if she could call someone for me (in a very pitiful voice :rotfl:).

    xx

I would NEVER have my mum there again. She kept trying to push my chin down whilst I was pushing and kept trying to force feed me water even though i'd been sick because I had too much fluid from the drip.

She also rearranged my flat which caused my OH to take great offence (he thought she was trying to say we were messy and he couldnt look after me). My OH arranged everything back to the way it was the next day which then caused my mum to take offence (she said she was only trying to help and my hubby was being childish). As a result my mum telephoned me a few hours after i'd given birth to tell me this and to say she was going home as she was heartbroken (she's a bit of a drama queen!). OH was upset that my mum was upsetting me and being selfish but he wouldnt talk to my mum. My mum went back to her home and said that she'd lost her daughter (meaning me) and I should just concentrate on mine (meaning Leila) and that I was now on my own. I spent that first night in hospital with my new baby crying silently I was so hurt. She then didnt telephone me for 3 days. When she did telephone she couldnt see what she had done wrong i.e tainting the most important few days of my life so far with her stupid selfish behavior. I didnt bother to point it out and just glossed over it and its never been mentioned since.

ooooh look what you started SB, you opened a big can of juicy worms. Sorry it turned into a rant. I havent spoken about it since Leila's birth as it still hurts so much.

    xx

    Its mostly my stuff :o
The only thing I'm making him do this month is move the crib (it's in the kitchen)
He''s working 7days a week all 30 days of sept (7am - 5:30pm M-F, weekend varies from 7-11 to 7-5pm) does anyone know the working time wotsit well enough to know if that's legal? (he signed to waive it when he first started about 18mths ago) but I'm not sure if anything has changed since?
