.. MIL has one of those, I think it just came with the house coz they got it new - it's a wooden floor just like in the pic though, do the carpet peeps sell the matting stuff? MILs is looking a bit threadbare but it's too big for the standard sized mats you get in 'normal' shops
It appears so - they didn't say anything about a problem getting hold of it. Comes in two mtr widths apparently. The issue is with the bar which will join the matting to the carpet cos I'm having it the full width, not just an inlay (cos it's carpet, not wooden flooring). For 1.54m x 2m and the bar, they estimated £100 - I know that's expensive for a doormat, but not if it saves the beginning of a long stretch of carpet in the long run, I thought
Rhys is still up.. lying on the change mat, watching the news atm0 -

Its only afterwards that I cringe that she was at the bottom end of proceedings (she actually sat on a beanbag on the floor down there, perhaps she planned to catch the baby if she flew out!) and that she also grabbed my boob and shoved it in Leila's mouth about 20 seconds after her birth to help with the breast feeding. I could have done without that sort of help, thank you very much.
My Mum wanted to be with me for both of mine, I have later found out, but I wouldn't have wanted her to see me in pain! I would be worrying too much about her and, for that matter, I worried about DH too! I only had him as my birthing partner and sent him home until things really got going. I think my MW thought I had been abandoned and constantly asked if she could call someone for me (in a very pitiful voice :rotfl:).
