elle, I cut Dylan a couple of weeks ago cuz he moved his hand while I was using the baby clippers !! I had to put a wee mini plaster on him and felt like the worst mummy in the world
My mum said just to bite them off !

Elle I use to bite Els when she was really little but now I use these ( soryy it's american) you can use them at any angle and they still cut, there great (as said by tony the tiger)

i bite jayden nails coz my mother cut off the top of zoe finger ... never again x

It was alright before - I'm guessing due to a lack of some vitamin or oth
er - they just used to break off but now they're really solid. We've got baby nail clippers but neither of us dare use them

I just use the baby clippers when he's napping. Did use normal clippers once (couldn't find the baby ones) and I caught his finger!:eek: He cried I cried and it bled for ages. Felt like such a bad mummy.

Got Daniel his high chair today :j he loves it.

I really wish I could afford to get this done rather than the old train track method!!! Dentist said once I'd had my jaw seen to he'd get me braces:eek: Been there done that don't want to do it again, not train tracks anyhoo!!

Thanks for the hugs. Especially SM's drunken hug as I expect its one of those where you dont know your own strength and you both lose your balance and end up in a heap on the floor!!!

Feel better for writing it down. Little madam also woke so we've changed her nap naps and given her a drinky and she's gone back to bed.

I still nibble her little nails off whilst she's feeding.

elle - I wait until I've fed her and she's fast asleep on me, then use the baby nail clippers. My neighbour said she used to bite her babys' nails, but I don't like the idea of not being able to see where I'm biting!

Caitlyn's been asleep for ages but the stubborn so-and-so kept whinging every time I put her down. DH was at work this morning, came home at half 2 then got called out again at half 6. He took DS with him, then phoned me at half 9 to say they'd given him another job to go to too! They're not back yet, hence the reason Caitlyn's in her moses basket and I'm on here and we're not in bed yet. I can't believe DS is still up and out at this time!

Bit of a TMI question, but when did you all start having 'relations' again after giving birth? Cailtyn's 8 weeks old today and to be honest I haven't even thought about it. DH hasn't mentioned it, but it's as if I've just 'forgotten' about that side of things and haven't felt remotely interested. I thought baby and I were supposed to have a 6 week check where they would ask me about contraception, but I've heard nothing. Spoke to a HV at baby group last week who said when Caitlyn has her jabs in a couple of weeks the HV will come out and measure/weigh her etc. She implied that they don't do a 6 week check
