I'd look for a student one first :) I got my sis one with an orange cover with yellow dots.. will see if I can find it :)

Thanks, Elle, I suppose a student cookbook is a step up from a children's cook book!! I have visions of serving everything with baked beans or super noodles!

Oh you're well ahead of us again Fritha :) Elijah is 7 weeks older and we have been saying "we'll buy him shoes this weekend" for at least a month+... not done it yet though... there's a kids' shoe shop within walking distance too! :o

We were watching Weakest Link, and Elijah got all fascinated just now... he spent much of the programme clawing at the screen trying to 'grab' the £5000 symbol in the top left... and then for the final round, he picked up OH's shoe and started batting at the screen! When we took him away from it he complained vigorously too. Who knows what is going through their tiny heads!

I want cupcakes, or possibly chocolate mousse, but I am trying to be good and support OH's dieting efforts... gah!

Alice has just been trying to climb the walls. We were at a carboot sale today and she bought a Winnie the Pooh wall clock. She was desperate to have it up before she went to bed and while OH was knocking nails in, he did ones for her other pictures (3 teddy pictures and 3 WTP ones). She had the teddy ones in the old house but she was so excited about the WTP ones that she was literally trying to climb up the walls to them. Fortunately she did calm down though so now she and WTP are sitting reading books in bed in the dark.

Yes, I have the darn brownies recipe open too :( very hard on me!

Good luck with the bookshop! I forgot to say, the other suggestion people made was that if I couldn't get a bookshop to take them, I could sell "job lots" on ebay, on a collection basis, and someone might pay more than zero to come get them.
  • Just realised put the wrong link in the last post for the cookery book, have fixed it now :)

Keira has her trike and her bike in the living room, she is riding the trike and keeps telling me to ride the bike. I told her my bum was too big, she said "Noooo mum, you don't have a big bum, that's not real nice" I was thinking awwww and she said "You have a fat bum!!"

    Oh great thanks.

    Are we all watching X-Factor?

little madam has gone to bed (though should wake up for a midnight feast I expect) and OH is snoring away from the bedroom. On my 2nd slice of Costco pizza and I have some minstrels in the car but not sure if I can be bothered to go and get them.

Told OH about all the roly poly babies today and told him that he needed to stop 'plonking' the baby on the sofa. What did he do when we got home from shopping today....promptly plonked her on the sofa. His excuse was that she looked comfortable there. I asked him if she would still be comfortable if she landed on the floor. I also went through what we should look for if she does fall on the floor ie does she cry, is she sick, is she sleepy and not to let her sleep etc etc.

Oooh and I have another star/medal thing. You lot make me chat too much xx
