I want to buy sleepsuits without feet, so Lilia has her arms and legs covered but not her feet, ans I'd rather use socks if I need to.AKA romper suit ;)

In the sling she doesn;t need tobe too warm but when I take her out I need to add layers.

today we are going by the river for a picnic and I have no idea what to put her in so that's another question I suppose = what to dress her in by the river on a sunny but windy day?Keep her wrapped up and in the shade

I also have a question about night feeds. I think I am feeding her when she is maybe not really aasking for food, because I am scared of her waking and crying. I feed her as soon as she stirs and starts sucking her hands, even if she is still eyes closed, but this is now every hour and I wonder if she's not actually hungry? She will eat for tenmins or so each time so is kinda hungry but maybe i could do her less times and for longer? What do people do?

The thing I find is that once she starts snuffling and waving her armss around I feed her cos then she goes to sleep all quiet, otherwise I lie awake next to her cos I can;t sleep next to a thrashing baby! (Let's not eveven get onto me not being able to put her in her crib yet).
I only fed Ed if he was awake, he sleeps quite well and settled so I'm not sure I can help :o If I wake because he's shuffling I just shhh him a bit and watch for a min to see if he's just shuffling or actually waking. When I feed/fed him at night I tried waking him if he fell asleep while feeding to see if he'd want more before giving him the chance for a burp then back down in his moses.
Sorry if that's no help :undecided

Elle - you need one of THESE I have one, tis good

MDW - why are you going to mothercare? is it to get seat fitted? surely seat will be cheaper online?:money:(even if you buy it from mothercare online you'll at least get quidco)
I wasn't lonely this morn either, Chris was snuggled up to me :D

MFD: Ed fell off the sofa last night :o why is it our (collective thread members) children always do things at the same time?
Can you post your list so we can say 'ooh missed that off'?

Try romper suits, thats what footless babygros are... And tbh skinty, if I was sleeping while Caitlyn suckled me all night I wouldn't be bothered... I would rather sleep and let her feed all night than be awake constantly... They do get better at sleeping as they get older (ideally) but I think you just have to do what you can to get sleep until that happens...

Edit, sorry Sami, I googled Romper and found this site... Made me think of you lol...
:rotfl::rotfl:It's soo true there are soo many euro-gimps that still wear those! :rotfl:

  • Right, back from an exciting trawl around a couple of hypermarkets looking for wine...

We have lived in Brussels for a couple of years and shall be staying for 2 more. We moved out for DH's job and decided that it would be a good opportunity to start a family. Hugh (or Boo as he is usually called) is our first baby and I am BFing him...it was very hard at first as he was finding it hard to latch on and kept on falling asleep when feeding, but we got there in the end. I had lots of help at the hospital and from midwife visits...my nips were wrecked to begin with (bleeding etc.) but all is forgotten now!

Hmm..pooing. Well, I think it's fairly safe to say he's got that one sussed! There have been one or two incidents where Mummy has suddenly found herself covered in her delightful son's poo, mostly because she was half asleep, holding up his legs to clean him and missed the half a second of warning that you get that there is more on the way :rotfl:. Hugh was also having such a screaming fit during a nappy change a few days ago that he managed to wee on his own face...this did not improve his mood :o.

He makes loads of different noises but I'm not sure I could pick one out as being a laugh at the moment. He loathes tummy time, but is getting a bit more tolerant now and can lift himself up a short distance. He spends most of the time trying to propel himself along with his legs (he may have been small, but he has a very painful kick and a killer hold on my windpipe!) and then gets frustrated and starts turning on his side, but he hasn't rolled yet. I'm looking forward to when he can because I think he'll have more fun then.

Hope I've answered most of the questions...thanks for the welcome! Oh and I shall try to remember to do pounds and ounces from now on! :p

I've got coffee and grapes and had 7 whole entire uninterrupted hours sleep  Her formula feed ta 10pm then she woke up at 11pm and I thought oh here we go she was so unsettled and fed on and off for the hour, finally put her down at midnight waiting for her to get back up, which she did... at 7am! :T Then fed for another hour, alternating sides.

I assume that is what she's wanting, she spits the boob out, roots, gets it, spits it out, yells at me... She is doing that quite a bit, spitting it out, rooting for it, getting frustrated, finding it (it wast there all along!), sucking, spitting it out. And most of the time there is milk there? This lark is so confusing!!!
