:j for the lamd and  for the glass. I once stood on a piece of glass and had to go to A&E to have it taken out.Buttonmoons wrote: »Also went in by the Tesco metro thingy, they have shoulder of lambs reduced from £5 a kg to £2.50, but the two I picked up had been reduced to £1.50. 2kg of lamb for £3, and 10 beefburgers for 90p down from £4. BRILL!
Keira still has that mouldy plaster on her finger from the jamming in door incident but last night she cut her finger on my diet coke can, so now has two plasters on one finger. She is walking around with her hand like a claw! OH also managed to smash a glass and insisted he had picked up all the bits, only for me to step foot in the kitchen and get a huge chunk of it impaled in my heel.
If they had spaces it's possible. Someone who isn't full might be glad to at least get some money or you may find someone who doesn't want to take their full quota and therefore has space to take on an occasional basis. I guess the only way to find out would be to ask around.feelinggood wrote: »A childminder wouldn't do one afternoon a week? Or one 'between school drop off and pick up' a week?
Yesterday Alice was "washing up" and kept drinking the washing up water. Presumably it tastes better as she still drank it after I gave her a cup of water. during the feed Edgar is currently havin Chris has eaten 3 bits of drawing paper on bit of OH's tool catalogue and a bit of a postman pat book! anyone woul think I don't feed him!
I get stuff for Alice for future presents when she's there all the time. Generally, out of sight is out of mind so she forgets about them. She probably just thinks it's like library books which disappear/change after a while. We even have her Christmas present in the hall (or possibly the kitchen - it keeps moving) and she is blissfully unaware.Doesn't Chris ask where they've gone to when you get home and you've put them away for xmas?
I don't wrap mine in advance otherwise I end up unwrapping them to check if I've left the price labels on.Does yours have colour changes when it's been wrapped? Or is that just me?;):p

I agree - the system is rubbish.Feelie - I can't believe that they can't refer you and get things going for you without the childcare. Or that they can't help you arrange childcare somehow, when you need it. I hope it can be sorted for you very quickly.
:T:TMaybe we should start a petition to the primeminister? If someone in the social/medical side of things won't help you out Feely, I will personally write letters to everyone from the PM to the local HV until something changes, I cannot express how angry the idea that they won't help you because you have a baby to look after makes me feel . Make them help you, or they may suffer my angry letters! Don't feel bad about feeling bad! Complain here as much as you like!

I know, I can't believe it. I only bought it a few weeks ago, but it is really right across the chest now. I know I've been overeating a bit, but didn't realise how bad. Going to stop at Evans on the way, and hope they've got something in my size that is suitable. I've got white trousers, do you think a black top would be okay if I can't find anything colourful?
Thinking one of these:

I can't fit into any of my pre-pregnancy blouses or dresses (not that I can generally wear dresses anyway since I'm still breastfeeding) due to the size of my bust. I just blame it on breastfeeding and am hoping I will shrink after I stop breastfeeding.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Congrats Glam! He's gorgeous!
That top ten list (got I can't remember who wrote it doh) helps but she already has a Vtech console, those Vtech kids digital cameras are NOT worth the £50, i bought my sister one for Xmas last year and the picture quality is SOOOOO BAD, half the time it resembles nothing like the item you were taking a picture off. She doesn't like barbie or transformers either (luckily)
.......and she has already nicked my DS!
Thinking maybe a big easel type thing, whiteboard on one side, blackboard on the other, and clips on it so you could pin paper up for her to paint? Do such things exist?
Oh and Keira said to me 30minutes ago "come read me a story mummy, I need a poop!" and she did it! Think she has cracked it now, since she actually ASKED to go for a poo, and not held it in until she became constipated again. HOORAH!
Susan - Ouch, was it a massive piece of glass?0 -
