Do some babies just drool in general? Just this last two days, Rhys is dribbling, often with bubbles.. *trying not to think of it as foaming at the mouth!* :o
Ed loves blowing bubbles! I find it funny :p

No, no, no, no, noooo... Can't be doing with teeth, not yet, surely?! _pale_

Speaking of teeth though, is when you get your teeth through hereditry(sp?)? Like I was really slow to get teeth.. still had baby teeth at 16 which had to be forceably removed!
    I doubt it's teeth hun ;)
I think it could be hereditary coz my friend was born with a tooth:eek: her LO had all his teeth by about 1yr (when Chis didn't even have 4!)
I've got the number of a Family Outreach worker somewhere, I'll try and find it amd give her a call, or will email the HV.

Don't know how I'll cope with leaving him. Don't suppose there is a register of Attachment Parenting nuseries or childminders?

Sorry for complaining so much today.

Toby is snuggled up with his new Eddie The Elephant, sucking his ear.

Have you found any similar thinking mum's on other sites like netmums that are local? I'm just thinking maybe you could find a local friend and then if you get to be good friends you'd trust them with Toby? maybe even if you're ok with it they could BF him:confused:(did I remember that he won't take a bottle anymore?)
    Just thinking out loud

MM just make sure you write the tag and attach it well

I use stickers to make sure there's no repeat of the "jumble of tags in the bottom of a bag of mystery gifts" Christmas.

All my Christmas stuff is done, I don't think any of it was full price and some of it was 90% off or better. I love organised Christmas shopping :j

Feelie, if you can't take the baby with you somewhere should do respite for therapy sessions. Check with your GP/HV. And, *hugs*.

Elle, the monster has been drooling astonishingly today - she's not old enough for teething so I assume some babies are just dribbly.

Husband's going to get set on fire if he doesn't stop annoying me. Aldi had sausage rolls in yesterday and they're impossible to get in Germany so I bought four packs and dumped three of them immediately in the freezer. He immediately started asking if they were nitrogen-packed and what the use-by date was and agitating about the space they'll take up. I pointed out, through teeth gritted so tight it was a miracle noise could squeak out, that we made space in the freezer for precisely such eventualities.

It's possible to teeth at any age - also possible to show the teething signs a month and more ahead of the first tooth. But also some babies are MUCH more drooly than others (our poor friends have a goblin child who has drooled so hugely since birth he is infamous for it, has spent his whole life in a bib and with a rash on his face from the wetness, etc...).

If someone in the social/medical side of things won't help you out Feely, I will personally write letters to everyone from the PM to the local HV until something changes, I cannot express how angry the idea that they won't help you because you have a baby to look after makes me feel . Make them help you, or they may suffer my angry letters! Don't feel bad about feeling bad! Complain here as much as you like!

Awesome story from Glam, huge congrats and lucky you :)
  • I join you on the letters Bruno, I'm good at writing nasty letters :)

I'll keep making polite enquiries. Unfortunately, being too pushy will just backfire. I've got a diagnosis on my file which basically means they won't take me seriously - I'm an attention seeker drama queen. This diagnosis is a huge obstacle to getting treatment, so I'm desperately trying to prove I don't have it. Means I have to be totally unemotional, totally rational, and I've got to fib about some of my symptoms.
