How do they know you have changed from your maiden name?! ;)

I had mine changed before I got married :D

    xx
dunno, I guess they'd only find out when you renewed it:confused:
I only know coz I forgot to tell MIL to use my maiden name to book the holiday but when I realised and asked if they'd charge to change it she became sgt H and told me off!
I need to see her know coz a juicy story has been on the local news so I want the inside scoop :shhh:

If she gets that way tomorrow, I will definitely tell her to move along. Honestly, she sounded surprised that I hadn't slept well the night before - um, she DOES know I have an infant, how can that be a surprise? Did I miss something - do all your babies sleep through the night at 5 wks? Good grief, DS2 didn't sleep through the night til he was 18 MONTHS and we dealt with it.

And yes, I understand that she is probably "covering herself" by checking, but as (to my knowledge) I haven't given any indication of having any problems with depression or stress to either the HV or the midwife after the birth, and have no history of PND, wouldn't you think they could at least treat me like I'm not losing grip and just take my word for it that I'm just a little tired? Now I feel horrendous pressure to be STEPFORD-MUM tomorrow when she's here to make sure she doesn't jump to any stupid conclusions.

yes it did :p you can get fined for not updating your passport with married name, I think it's actually illegal not to. MIL told be off when she found out mine was in my old name :o

Pg board lurker here- just to say you definitely don't have to change it as the lady in the post office thought I was mad for wanting to change mine when it had about 8 years left on it! She said to just leave it till it ran out, but I was very un-MSE and wanted to have my married name on it mostly because I am a bit ditsy and knew I would eventually order tickets with the incorrect name on them.

I changed mine, it had over a year left to run on it, and they dated it to be valid up till ten years after the expiry date of the original one. Most convenient :)

Why do they compare, they are all soooo different. Some are academic, some sporty, some artistic. Everyone has different strengths.

When Ben tells MIL about something he's proud of she always comes straight back with 'oh **** does that, he can also...' well Ben couldn't give a toss what his cousin is up to!!!

My MIL does that with DS1, not DS2 cos he's 'special'... DS1 tells her some thing and is interrupted with 'oh your cousin did this and said that and wants this and we bought her this and that and she's coming down to stay then!'.

Triggles, your HV sounds lovely  Tell her to sod off withher stupid conclusions, you have a baby and an older child ofcourse your going to be tired, nobody expects to have a baby (or even an older child) and not be tired. Now can she please !!!!!! off so you can get some sleep?

3 - try looking for recipies with melted butter, I'm sure you could just swap that for oil but not sure how you know how much to use ....

Eh? Are you talking to me?

Went to dentist, and yes I have an abcess. But he just kind of drained it because there are no antibiotics suitable for b/f? Hopefully its gone now, but if not, i just need to go back and repeat!

Then went to Asda. Got OH one of the famous Asda cheap suits for his interview next week. It actually looks quite nice.

I picked up some boots for me, just £8 comfy chav ones for walking the dog. I tried brown on, changed my mind, and just threw a size 5 in black in my trolley.
When I got to the til and put them on the conveyor, i noticed the soles were worn and had holes in!
It seem some cheeky bu66er has been in, taken a nice new pair, and left their old scanky ones on the hanger! How cheeky is that! :rotfl:
