OK, am not sure if this would work or not, am just thinking out loud more than anything else, and want some opinions
If I was to roll up a cotton wool pad into a little tube shape and use surgical tape and attach it to Dylans palms when he is sleeping to force his fingers open a little bit, would that seem like
    A) a stupid pointless idea
    B) slightly cruel
    C) an ingenious idea that you all wish you had thought of first :)

PS - he sleeps with scratch mittens on, so no issue of him eating them

    D) very much like the splint DS2 wears :D

That weaning gadget, do people not realise that weaning is supposed to be messy?? I thought that was the whole fun of it!

*Nice dry brain vibes for Rhys* Does that sound a bit wrong?
  • Just a few things before I go to Posh Booby Club.

It would appear that Benjamin does have some kind of reaction to strawberry fromage frais...he has a rash on his head. He is fine in himself though. Just keeping my fingers crossed that we don't get the huge vomiting reaction that we did on Sunday now :(

Sophie La Giraffe est arrivee :D Benjamin is currently chomping away. Will give you a full and frank review in a couple of days ;):D

Have just moved Benjamin into size 4 pampers and they fit much better...I didn't even think of it until Feely said Toby was in Size 4's :o

    Thinking of you Elle

MFD, hope it's just a minor reaction and he doesn't have a massive vomit in posh boobie club :D (and secretly I'd find that amusing, sorry!)

I told a wee white lie to DH and said Amber had been up all night (she wasn't, she went down at 10pm and slept till 5.30am after her massive 40minBF, 1 and a half oz EBM and almost 2oz of formula over 2 hours), I just woke up so tired and so got DH to take the boys to school and I slept till 11.30am (she had a feed at 8am though). Feel a lot better for it, a bit groggy but not so 'why oh why did I want to do this again can I just leave her cry in another room for a few hours?'.

I read the new ones too and often feel a little jealous:confused:

That's ok to feel like that - I didn't see Annabel for 12 hours after she was born as we were both poorly. I get jealous when I see all those brand new just born baby photos as I don't have those memories. But on the up side we have beautiful babies and are both blessed that way ;)

:rotfl::rotfl:at MFD on the relaxed sleeping comment! It's amazing how your worries change isn't it?

WOW - my passport just arrived. YIPPPEEEEEEEEEEEE:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

Embarassed to say that baby's arrived last week, it was my one I was waiting on - And the worst bit was that it didn't need to be changed, I just wanted it to be in my married name:o:o:o

I know I don't post here often - more lurk than anything. But my HV is making me crazy!! (actually I think she thinks I am crazy - or at least depressed or something!) First visit she harped on about PND, asked me if I wanted a booklet about it. I told her no, as I knew about it, wasn't experiencing it, but had spoken at length to DH about it and we had an agreement that if either of us thought there was ANY type of problem, we would get me in to get help immediately. (It is something I worry about as you hear such scary stories about it!) Anyway, she was going away on holiday, but insisted she would come back out tomorrow for a visit to my home and do another check. AND she still insisted on giving me the booklet, after asking if I wanted it and I refused. Whatever. I'm not fussed one way or the other. Today she calls right in middle of 3yo nap (verrry light sleeper) while I am feeding 1mo old. Been long tiring morning as both kids were up alot last night so I am tired. HV insists she wasn't coming to house but had wanted me to pop in to clinic. I told her it really didn't matter to me which as long as I knew which she wanted so I could make plans. HV then says I sound tired and stressed and she is suddenly acting like I've pulled a knife on her, rather than being just a bit short on the phone. Then she INSISTS she must come out tomorrow to the house prior to clinic and make sure I'm doing okay. Grrrrrrr. I am FINE. Just tired. And now annoyed. Are we not allowed to be tired and annoyed without it being PND? Good grief. Ok. Rant over. Back to your usual programming. *sigh*

Just want to point out that I am not falling apart at the seams. Laundry is caught up, bottles for the day organised, washing up done. Did an autumn colouring project with Liam (3yo) and then hung the coloured leaves up on the fireplace so he could admire them all. Have cottage pie planned for tea, and will be heading out to kitchen in a few minutes to start apple crisp for after tea. I hate it when someone takes a 3 second picture of your reaction and assumes the worst! Grrrr

Ok I've missed a post somewhere why does Elle need good luck?

It's pouring of rain here so we went to the garden centre as I want a pair of hunters welies (does anyone have? if so are they comfy? well as comfy as wellies can be lol) they didn't have. So we then went for a walk in the forest with the dog, got soaked but had fun except dog escaped into a field, I'm always scared he gets shot!!! But he couldn't find a hole in the fence to get back out so I had to coax him back up to where he had come from then he found the hole he got in thru!!
