Tara - at one point I did call him a spoilt brat!!!

I had to get out of the house yesterday afternoon, visited family, as the atmosphere was horrible and not something I wish to expose DD too.

 Don't get mine, he such a different bloke at work. Hope yours gets better as I see your holiday is coming up. My birthday washout ruined our holiday.

Well done MM, I always think having an evening makes such a difference! X :T

woo hoo MFD on your holiday. so pleased for you. a tip about opening the cartons of formula milk without getting milk everywhere ... i unstick the part of the carton from the side, then tip the carton back (so the bit you just unstick is pointing upwards), then use your teeth (well i do as i dont carry scissors :-)) and tear the part of the carton you unstuck open.

please dont worry about the fairy visit re bibs with holiday pending.

That's kinda what I do...but with scissors  I'm just a clumsy oaf :rotfl:

The fairies have planned your bibs into the busy schedule ;):D well I am trying to anyway xx
How about sweet potato's and butternut squash Weezl? Not sure how calorific it is though. I just know it's filling!

I'm struggling to remember what we did with Keira, I never gave her much food to begin with, milk + some breakfast, milk + half a jar of food (I did feed some jars so just using it as an example) and then milk + half a jar for tea.

She starts nursery tomorrow :D:( My little girl is growing up before my eyes.

I think Weezl was thinking more calories but less filling

Weezl - we did Avocado the other day, just mashed with a fork in a pot but then Benjamin likes lumps :j he seemed to enjoy it! Pulled a face with every spoonful but kept coming back for more so either he liked it or he is a bit dense :rotfl:

About the banana - I don't let Benjamin handle it :o it just goes to mush too quickly. I hold the banana by the peel and he 'bites' it (with his no teeth!!) either that or I sometimes chop bits off with a spoon and feed him the lumps!

I think it might have been the strawberry fromage frais that disagreed with Benjamin yesterday - it was the only new thing he had. Will try him on it again either tomorrow afternoon or Thursday when we have a 'quiet' day planned.

Fingers crossed for Keira's first day buttons :D

Krystal - I'm a bit worried about expressing in the morning as I think there might not be enough to sustain her throughout the day. I know it's a supply and demand thing, so I need to feed/express in order to supply, but I'm worried that she'll demand and I won't have enough supply if I've just expressed, and I do like to express one bottle a day so DH can use it the next day to do her night-time feed.
I used to express firstthing in the morning and never seemd to be a shortage because of it. I would express from one side then feed ALice from the other side. I eventually stopped when she was about one and I wasn't getting as much (and she wasn't haveing EBM in the evenign anymore) so just started giving her both sides then. I figure if you're "full" in the morning, it's good to empty it all out because that helps to stimulate more milk production.
