Not had chance to catch up properly.

DD had another good day with the childminder - even asked for a sleep! It took a bit of working out what she wanted as she was showing the childminder the stairs (she sleeps upstairs at home) - If she doesn't have the words to ask for what she wants she shows/takes you.

I can't handle the mornings though far too stressful trying to get everything ready and that's with DH there to help!

Re giving up the breastfeeding - look at my ticker and I still can't imagine giving up - we both love the snuggles in the morning and evening.

    hi scruffy!

I have Gestational Diabetes so they induce at 38 weeks.

Mum has just dropped a bombshell and she's coming to visit a whole day early  House not ready, got BIL here as well and I've got scan and clinic tomorrow - why do I always sit on my fat !!!! doing nothing and leave everything to the last minute!!!!:mad:

It must vary by consultant, mine let me go to due date + 1 with GD. The growth scans indicated no problems though.

    And you're not fat - you're pg!!!
    The IVF worked;DS born 2006.

AF: I hope you got more sleep last night :-)
    QUOTE]

not really, although some of that was self inflicated. :p

bubs woke up screaming at about 12.15am and nothing would calm her down so i had to use nurofen for the first time, and that together with a bottle had her settled until just gone 3am and then she woke regularly after that.

i was watching the peter andre show in itv2 and then big brother and then john edwards so i only started to settle down at 12am

    triplets :eeek:

    I Know

Why have I not seen that website before?!!! (stamps foot smilie)

Already on the RLT and EPO (but from that website I can start inserting pretty soon!) - so sex, massage and nipple stimulation (good job OH not working at the mo! ;))

Might not try jumping in the shower though! Sounds a bit dangerous :o

I feel like a beached whale atm but would probably be bigger if it wasn't for the GD stopping me eating all the crap I was before.

I was going to be induced at 40 weeks but because I am now on Insulin they automatically induce at 38 weeks (3 weeks time )
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

    hi r.mac,

seems our girls are following each other in terms of sleeping/teething :D

on the teething front, i have bought some dentinox teething gel as it can be applied every 20 mins or so which is useful when we are out and about in town which is most days. i have also bought the children's nurofen as calpol never seemed to do much for my little one. i had to give her some of the nurofen last night but only after i had tried everything else to comfort her. it was my HV that suggested carrying some sachets of calpol/nurofen if we are out and about.

we are also moving to two meals a day to see if the sleeping improves. we had a good week of sleep after introducing solids at night at a regular time, but this went out of the window when the teething started again.

    xx

She's currently on 3 meals a day, but that didn't impact much on her sleep. It's definately the teeth. We are like you and calpol just doesn't always hit the spot - baby nurofen is great and we carry around sachets of both with us as well. She'll happily open her mouth for them and the ashtons powders :rotfl::o

lets hope that they both brighten up soon;)
    You made me snort

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I would buy some more bottles because you don't want to be sterilising as soon as you get there.
Was gonna suggest that Boots might do it in the airport
Post on the travel board here - somebody will know something! I have never had a problem yet which couldn't be solved by somebody on MSE :D

I cried :o I really am a wimp these days!!
Then I went upstairs to check that nobody had stolen Benjamin out of his cot :o

Right - I have done some research and made some calls. The plan is:

    1. call WH Smiths AIRSIDE the day before and have them put aside some cartons of Formula for us. The boots in Edinburgh airport is landside, so WH SMith are being helpful in stocking Formula milk. :D

    2. take enough powdered Formula incase of WH Smith messing up our order:p

    3. take the stackable disposable bottles in handluggage to save space

    4. If we have to make up our own feeds then get hot water from the cafe/on board aircraft

    5. Have a few cartons of formula in our hold baggage in case of emergencies once at our destination :D

thanks for all your help ladies.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
You had a body malfunction lol...

Think hubby is trying to make a point that I talk loudly on the phone... He's watching State of Play... Turned the volume up twice... Then paused it until I'd finished (moaning about my nephew and the sofa to my Mum lol)

Ooh, I bought Caitlyn down after her feed (she was dropping off to sleep until someone came to talk to me and disturbed her :wall:) popped her on the play gym, she's been playing really happy, fidgeting around and is now dropping off to sleep with a dreamy smile... Lovely!

Anyone elses baby smile as it goes to sleep? I don't remember Aimee doing it but Caitlyn has right from birth pretty much... Way before she could consciously smile anyway!

Glad DD is settling well with the childminder MDW :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • When do you go MacSmiler?

Hubby came home today talking about cheap (£450 for all 3 of us) flights from Birmingham to Florida where MIL has a villa!!

I had said no to a long-haul flight first time but I am sorely tempted!!

Trouble is the flights are a week on Friday and Benjamin hasn't got a passport yet! I sent off for it a week ago

Its Australian so I used to go to UK sites first when giving info to others :)
I used it for the average gestation dates

You looked great yesterday not at all podgey :D
I meant to ask does GD always go away once bubba arrives or does it hang around for months/years/ever??
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

Travelling: we just bought cartons of formula in Boots once we got airside. They had plenty of choice in Manchester airport, and I bought some jars for on the plane too.
Here I go again on my own....
