Yay, go Feelie! :D Once you get your driving licence they'll be no keeping you in! :p Any news on sorting lessons? How far did you get with learning before? :)

I had about 6-10 lessons I think. Could do three point turns, drive comfortable but not tried any other manoeuvres. Will start lessons when OH starts new job in fortnight.

Is OH asleep on sofa again?

How did you guess? ;) Rhys is with me tho, fast asleep. Think we tired him out earlier - was at my mummy friend's house and he rolled seven times in half an hour! Usually he does it once or twice a day.. She taught me that what I thought was cheating is actually just him finding the most effective way of doing it. It was good to watch her 6mth old too cos I know what to look out for now.

Right, dilemma.. What to feed a 17mth old?

OH's "best" mate, his wife and 17mth old son are gracing us with their presence on Friday evening (don't get me started! ;)). I know it's cheating - and not MSE or Economy Gastronomy! - but we'll probably have a bought lasagne with salad and garlic bread. But what does the LO have?

I've looked at the ingredients on the lasagne and it is all stuff you've heard on (not E-this and xx-acid-that) but it's still got extra salt in it so I wouldn't feed it to Rhys, but that said this LO is apparently living on a diet of fish fingers, smilie faces and chicken nuggets.

They will pass Maccys on the way to ours and I reckon it's a fairly certain bet that they will call in there for a ready meal on the way  I don't mind catering for the LO but obviously don't want to be doing something that makes a massive portion which we won't use the rest of

Suggestions anyone? :) (there are fish fingers and beans in our freezer/cupboard, but the beans are regular Heinz, not low salt/sugar)

I would cut the lasagne up and give him that  My son loved anything mince-y at that age and still does!

Toby sat for a whole five minutes today! According to Mum, I sat at the same age. Wonder if he'll talk like me, I started at 9 months. Where has my tiny baby gone?! Can't wait to compare with the NCT ladies tomorrow.

Elle, if its one meal you're doing then just give him the same as you all have... Or if you don't think he'll eat it, then the normal beans would be fine.

How old is he feelie? Aimee was sitting at 16 weeks... Nothing I'd done, she just did it herself... One of the women at a toddler group we went to had a son the same age and was awful competitive made a nasty comment about it... I don't understand what makes people like that?! It's nice having our parents tell us whats similar about our children and us too isn't it... Everyone keeps telling me how much Caitlyn is like my younger brother, in looks and attitude... Although she sleeps like me!

Oh, I've just seen you can get an Annabel Karmel lasagne ready meal plus other types.. I know it's up to his parents what he eats but I really don't want to condone such crap eating in our house. If they say he'll have lasagne too, I'll buy him the AK one..
  • Evening all...

All is quiet here chez ladybird. Baby is sleeping (finally!), dinner is scoffed (today i made the green beans and courgettes into a curry, but I didn't add enough chilli, so the chutney I normally use to "tone down" the curry was hotter than the curry... oops!), and chutney is cooking.

We went for tea at nursery today. My Mum came too, so now she knows where the nursery is and they know her too. Izzy had a fab time playing afterwards. She wasn't interested in playing with me, as there were so many other people/toys to play with, which was just as well really as I made a new friend. Her name is Jasmine and she is about 10 months old, and she wanted to share all her toys with me and sit on my lap while she played with them. And when Izzy pulled her hair she wanted a cuddle from me, and not from any of the nursery teachers! It's a good thing Izzy isn't the jelous type really ;) Then her mum came to pick her up, and off she crawled without a second glance in my direction. That's babies for you :rotfl:.

Week after next we have 3 hour long taster sessions, then she starts properly the following week, and I go back to work the week after that. Scary stuff. Not sure how that happened!
