    Well done you! :T

I pick up bits and bobs all year round for my 'present box' too :D.

What you going to get Hubby?

    xx

I haven't got the foggiest? He doesn't collect anything? He plays WOW online and he has all the expansion packs for it. I don't really want to give him money as it feels like a cop out? So I'll have to see if anything takes my fancy while out with mum this week. We go away on Bank Holiday so could always get him something while we are away if push comes to shove. Why are men so hard to buy for? Or is it just mine?

Don't you remember by rant after I came back from that holiday in Feb with OH's best mate, his wife and son and I was outraged at the "oh, when he's one, he can start having proper food like fish fingers, chicken nuggets and smilie faces"?!

Ooooh I could rant all day about food like that, but I'll not :o Charlotte has never had a chicken nugget or a smilie face yet.

is everyone else on my wave length that choc and crisps aren't for LO's? I wouldn't (knowingly )let Chris have choc until about 18mnths and I have only let him have a 1/4 of a pack of hula hoops just this month

I wouldn't let mine have crap when they were tiny. Once they were older, they've been taught a little is ok, but you shouldn't eat loads. I've already ranted on here about what my Mam gives Charlotte though!

I did say she could have a biscuit tonight though and then started talking to Craig. Before I knew it, she was back with a packet of Jammie Dodgers and was dishing them out to everyone :rotfl:

Bit of a wash out day today. Got to my parents caravan and it looked really grey so we decided to have a cup of coffee and see if it would blow over. It absolutely lashed it down. Decided to have the picnic in the caravan and then go for a walk after lunch, but it never stopped raining. Just lazed around the caravan all day, and then came home. Sounds boring, but we really enjoyed just chilling out :)
Here I go again on my own....

MrsT - try her on the floor and see how she goes. I still think 13 weeks is mighty early IMHO :o

and when you do start weaning you will be surprised what a bl00dy time-consuming faff it all is :o I wish I had never started!!!!

Elle - we have made some lovely friends at Booby Club who have an allotment. We got courgette and green beans a few weeks ago which I pureed together and gave to Benjamin - yummy!! Then I did the same today and had it spat at me - along with brocolli (why can't I spell that!!) and carrot puree (he likes both seperately )

He did love sitting [STRIKE]messing with[/STRIKE] eating the green beans on their own though

Edit - thanks for the Bumbo tip but Benjamin is now trying to escape his!!!! It was great whilst it lasted but he doesn't want to be in there when he can be crawling backwards!!!!

You're in good company - lots of online gaming widows here!

Although, I have to say, for some yet-to-be-discovered reason, OH has been in the living room with me all night.. albeit asleep on the sofa, but hey at least we don't have a wall between us like usual! :o

just to add my Pennie to the food debate, I think the best advice is just to go with what you feel is the right thing for your child. They are all very different even within the same family. My DD wasn't ready till she was nearly 7mths but my DS was desperate for food from around 12 weeks could not eat when he was in the room or he'd go mad.

Started him on baby porridge and rice by six months he was 3(baby) meals a day and still has a massive appetite now. He is very active and has only ever had normal bugs courtesy of school lol would recomend home made stuff as DS will eat things that are fresh but will not touched processed he's 9btw.

FIL has got just about everything growing there. Keeps trying to offer me cauliflower *shudder*

I think we're going to do as suggested the other day - sorry, can't remember by who! :o - and make ice cubes of each thing then give them in difference combinations :) I know I have to give them separately first to check for allergies.. see, I'm learning :D

My Bumbo is no use now, Toby is just too big for it. He can sit quite well on my lap, but not on the floor. My bouncy chair is not very good either now, he can lean forward in it! Also got to make sure his straps are tight on his carseat otherwise he leans forward.

He is asleep on the floor at the moment, so I'm going to take him up to bed. Night all!

    Oooh, get you! :D

We have Annabel Karmel trays with lids for this very purpose. I still puree and freeze lots of different fruits and then mix with yogurt or baby rice for Jamie's pud.
