Child benefit is not child tax credits MotM, are you sure you're comparing same things?
ETA looks like you've worked out the discrepancy anyway, ignore me
Yes, it was Child Tax Credits....did I say Child Benefit? My mistake if I did, as they worked out the exact amount that we get for Child Benefit earlier in the form.
Both now seem to think we would be entitled to over £10k per year in Child Tax Credits, which I find quite alot.
Now, I never had my girls to get any money (If I had, i'd have applied before now!) but I can see why people do. It's an incredibly obscene amount of money to be 'given'.0 -
aw elle he looks so cute on the lemonade pic!0

LOL, well at least he is trying to go in the toilet, we once got a poo crumb from Keira that landed in the toilet......
YEY for the pickled onion! Were you ever told as a kid eating too many of those would make you sh** the bed? My mum told me that, so at partys etc, I'd not touch the pickled onions!
My next mission is to get her to try blueberry jam, I told her I squished the blueberrys into jam for her toast, as currently all she wants on toast is "chocolate butter"
I bought her these strawberry/pear/apple lunchbox snack things today for treats, they are supposed to be like a chew sweet, but no wonder she didn't eat, they are BOGGING! Ah well they were only 50p, but what do I do with the other 4? Heh0 -
Lol Elle, that piccy is too cute for words. He's leaning away though, he's obviously more a coke man!0

It's going to be a nice extra bit of help. They've been taking from me for 20 years, so it's nice to get some back :T0 -
aaaargh freecycle annoys me so much!!
on my local one, people ask for the same thing every day - a couple of requests for fridges/freezers, washing machines, beds etc, but just lately its a joke, someone has posted asking for a flat screen tv and someone else asked for a xbox yesterday! i offered seths baby bath today and had a email which said "i'll have it, i'll pick it up tomorrow if you like?" no please, no name given, nothing! and when i gave away our moses basket (i would have preferred to sell it but they go so cheaply i thought it wasnt worth the hassle, plus we were desperate for space and still in the studio flat at the time) the woman that turned up to get it was clearly wearing jimmy choos and a posh tailored suit and driving a 2009 reg mercedes!! are they all as grabby as that?
Same here - I often offer stuff up on freecycle and my inbox gets inundated! Yet if I post a wanted or reply to a "offered" post - always very polite! - I never get anything
I had a couple of baby items before Alex was born - a buggy and a bath - the bath was a bit icky so was chucked but the buggy once I'd finished with it (I wanted to know how the dog would react to a buggy before the baby arrived so walked her with it for a week or so) I freecycled it again
I do drive my "posh" 08 plate VW Passat CC though - maybe that's why I don't get offered stuffthey've passed out the word :rotfl:
Most of my wanteds are stuff for the allotmentold cold frames, cloches etc - nowt... not a bean... nada... Hohum
DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

We got discharged from the paediatrician in July because she hadn't had a water infection since April and was being really good at not holding too long and now all I've had this holiday is wet pants and to top it off tonight we've just been to a party at a friends and she's pooped in her brand new high school musical pants that nanny bought her for being a good girl and not wetting herself... Oh the irony... The only thing I can think to do is frog march her to the toilet every hour or something, but I already get so many tantrums over everything I just don't want another battle...
do you think its jealousy of Caitlin (sorry if I spell wrong I know too many Caits!)

I once got a washing machine off freecycle for my nana, she had just been made redundant and her washing machine packed in. Very nice washing machine too, only thing that was wrong with it, was the little kickplate or whatever at the bottom was missing the lid, no big deal, and it was from a guy who had already been given it off freecycle, he got it to wash his painting gear (he was a painter.decorater) but for some reason he never used it.....Anyhow, that was good.
I actually went on the other day to search and see if chest freezers were ever offered (they arent!) and someone was wanting a 3 piece sofa please, leather, and must be black! Buy it yourself then! And why do people say "can i have X Y AND Z PLEASE BECAUSE IM A SINGLE PARENT" Like they are guilting you into feeling sorry for them, and I saw one that said "Looking for a ps3 because my son is disabled and I cant afford ot buy him one"
Im sure half the stuff people write in their sob storys is lies!
Im not even going to bother asking for a bicycle on freecycle, OH's sister has an old one at OH's mums house, it's still in good condition, just been lying around for a few years, so I think I'll put it into a bike shop and get it serviced or whatever, that will be like £20 or so, then go to halfords and get us all safety sarah, with the helmets and get a seat that fits properly on the back of the bike. Plus be nice to have bike rides round the beach etc, might help me loose my back fat too0 -
Caitlyn just rolled over again... On the floor this time!! Was hilariously funny though... She was having some nappy free time (just loves being bare ar5ed this girl!) and squirming around the change mat so I put her on her tummy on the floor... She rolled over onto her back so we gave her a cheer and popped her back on her tummy to try again... And she shot a mahoosive line of pooh across my carpet, about an inch away from the new sofa! Hubby couldn't breath for laughing!!! He thinks she was trying to out do Aimee... Aren't my girls lovely... One craps in her pants, the other craps on the carpet!!!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
