  • Today I have planned main meals for the next 5 days, aiming to use up any food! Hubby is doing SO well with eating less rubbish (hasn't had chocolate in days ) and spending less because of it! Sent hubby to iceland and he spent £8 getting what we need to add to the food we have for the food plan. Not bad! ;) Just need a red onion for enchiladas tomorrow, didn't have any of those! Like doing mexican when we have food to use up, have peppers and tomatoes that are a little past their past but fine for cooking. Vey serious about spending very little on food now...sick to death of spending lots of money. No more!!

  • Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Very cheap day yesterday, hubby made a lovely dinner and we watched a DVD from Lovefilm. Also did 40 minutes on the airwalker whilst watching Alan Partridge. Hubby has given up smoking, chocolate (has a very sweet tooth!) and is keeping me on track with eating better and exercising! Very proud of him :jcan't believe how determined he has been.

    Today I'm going to:

    Do 1 hour on airwalker
    go to post office
    tidy flat
    Load of washing
Cook a healthly dinner from the meal plan
go for an evening walk with hubby

Last week off until I start uni! Uni will (until christmas) involve me leaving at 6.25 in the morning and getting home at God knows what time so need to make the most of this week ;)

How fit are you? How out of breath do you get on the airwalker? Do you work out all at the same intensity? Good luck with Student Finance!

I can do 30 minutes before I've had enough! My legs will ache and would have worked up abit of a sweat by this point! I tend to try and do two lots of 30 mins or 3 lots of 20 mins etc. I did try and jog but my shins would really hurt  I want to lose at least a dress size and have been eating better as well. Alot of my clothes don't fit anymore :o

Sounds like you're addicted to caffeine as well as Diet Coke.
Have you tried initially swapping out some of your drinks to caffeine free Diet Coke?

I'm part way though kicking a caffeine free diet coke habit....didn't think I'd get this far!
Thinking about the money saved and my health was the best motivation- I didn't like the idea I was addicted to it! I started by swapping out to other fizzy drinks which I like lest to slow down consumption and then I've tried to swap with other drinks I like. I did the 100 day challenge so that once my stash runs out I can't buy any more in the 100 days. That meant I needed to cut down and ration from the start so I could cope by the time I had to go cold turkey. I have about 9 cans left and am now having one every week as a treat. Tastes really chemically now!!

Interval training burns up to twice as much fat as stead state workouts. So that means five to ten minutes warming up (easy pace, getting warm, breathing a little heavier) then alternate between fast and slow or harder and easier levels through the rest of the workout. Some air walkers will have programmes that do that for you, others are DIY.
