Now I've caught up with your diary I see I was mistaken and you're starting your PGCE not just finishing it!
I think I was confused as you've worked in schools before.
What level will you be teaching?
Good luck with the start of your course.

  • Oh I confuse myself sometimes! :D I'll be doing Secondary Citizenship PGCE which most probably will lead to me teaching full Humanities

I was meaning to say that with your discount I'd probably stick to Morrisons. You can always do an online shopping comparison to see if somewhere else would be better. I can't remember the web site but I think it was in a MSE guide

  • To do list this week:

    Sort through paper work
    contact student finance
    Report essay for uni
    stick to meal plan
    spend very little money!
EXERCISE. The airwalker MUST be used!

No spending so far today! Don't think I will need to unless I get naughty and go and buy diet coke. I gave this up for a week a couple of weeks ago and after 4 days of being in SO much pain with my head I was feeling good! Started drinking it again when I was stressed about test  Have been addicted for a long time... I need to stop again!!!

Well done on getting onto your PGCE. That's good news! My BIL is looking to go onto teacher training to do performing arts. Hope the moneysaving journey is going well so far... Oh, yep, and I also need to meal plan too.

Ok, so today I haven'y actually spent any money :j, although I did send hubby to get diet coke and chocolate :o

Had a silly argument about tomatoes (!) although these were no ordinary tomatoes, no, these were from the MIL's garden. I don't like her tomatoes and hate chucking food away (comes down to the fact I don't like her and they do look and taste weird) Hubby accused me of 'not being very christian' in my attitude towards her (aren't men lovely when they try and wind you up?) :rotfl:but said he'll eat them so i'm ok now. I'm very emotional today!!

  • Meant to be doing work by now...:o and yet again I can't be bothered! I am going to turn the internet off and get on with it!

Hoping today will be a very cheap day, just need to get some diet coke and that will do! Have lots of work to do. Still can't get through to student loan people as seem to be constantly busy! Not surprised, really . Hubby's been doing all the cleaning and cooking (when he gets in from a hard day at work :o) so I can do my work and so I best get on with it! Bless him. He usually does more than me anyway but I am trying to pull my weight more.....!

  • Ok, here's my total spending for today:

£13ish- KFC (have little brother staying!)
    crisps and drink- £3.00

Spending hasn't been great this week.... we went to the cinema last night which cost £17, bought a new top which was £16. Doing a cheap shop tomorrow and going to a friend's house in the evening so will get a couple of bottles of plonk for that. Mum's birthday as well. Also have bought a couple of my monthly magazines....
Abit concerned as not sure exactly what/when i'm getting from student finance, said it's been approved but no details! :mad:It's impossible to get hold of them at the mo as well. One more week until I start uni! Hubby has been on a real health kick (apart from his KFC treat!) and has been eating less and cheaper stuff so may be able to get away with spending much less on food!
