  • Suppose I could just get him to transfer it but I know he'll snap if I mention it.

But I doubt they would take it if it is low value.
He could also argue on disability grounds as well.

  • Thanks never thought of that. I thought they would just try and take what they could. Letter I saw mentioned baliffs. There is nothing of real value in the house that is his but the car is an easy target if they wanted something.

  • He didnt say a thing. I was filing and it was in an open padded envelope. Not thinking it was that kind of post I just looked at the contents not even thinking to see whos name it was in. All he has said was that he was going to start paying it  Stupid man

Nothing I can do but I willbe furious with him if they take his (MY) car.

I do wonder why I should stay with him and that when debts are gone then I should go. Kids will be older as well more independant.

Anways spends not great £5 yesterday - 3 for kids and 2 a poppy. Today was £54 on diesel and lunch.

OMG KP! I'd be furious! Even more so if they DO take the car. What is the CCJ for then?

Didn't realise things were bad so (well-meaning but pervy-looking) :grouphug:

  • Things are ok for me just tight but OH has been sticking his head in the sand ref his own debts. A few years ago he had a spending spree and ran up I think 4-6k of debt whilst on benefits. Storted the od out by reclaiming charges but he wont let me help with the credit cards. He was going through CCCS and doing okon a DMP but I talked him into doing the new DRO route a watered down type of bankruptcy. 1 I would get some help with house hold expences as I was struggling 2 it would clear the debts sooner rather than later. He agreed an started paying me the £140 a month instead of cccs BUT never sorted out the DRO so creditors now chasing and hense the ccj.
