DH doesnt think it's safe Sammy - maybe a Saturday shop job when she's old enough, but he doesnt want her walking the streets early morning/evening.

We'll definitely sort them out their own chores. DD LOVES cleaning, DS will find it harder.

I sent them out earlier to get some fresh air. They came home a few minutes ago excited that they'd found loads of blackberries and rasberries - DS was keen to point out it's free food. They've just grabbed some bags and gone for more :D

Soz thought you were talking about DS not DD.....

I have recently learned a new trick with the ironing...dump THEIR stuff on their beds...what happens to it after that is THEIR business..

Mine have to look after the animals because they know I'd never get any more if they didnt. They get bramble for the stickies, and make sure the cats are fed and watered. DS even cleans the patio after the dog.

    I'm too strict arent I :o

Yep, I knew I'd read that somewhere this weekend.

The ones they brought home are soaking now, but the ones they ate on the way home..........too late

I have started doing this and DS1 will iron stuff if he wants something, DS2 doesnt bother but I fold them so they dont really need ironing anyway.

OH will actually do anything I ask him to do but I always have to ask IYSWIM........just wish someone would take the reigns once in a while I guess.

Right moaning minnie I am today arent I:o
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

No, he's not old enough yet. I'm sure he'll want to do it when he can though.

Ironing - even I dont do that. Life's too short to worry about a crease or 2.

I think I might have suggested we decorate DS's room this weekend. He wants green, so need to check the garage for some leftover blue and yellow paint - I know we havent got any green :o

No you're not...it makes me feel better to know that its a universal problem.....:D

I used to want to run away and I know its a problem I have brought on myself. My mum was the opposite and I did everything for her and me....I just wanted my kids to have more of a childhood than I did...
