  • Morning all,

Well I haven't slept a wink last night, started my anti biotics today so hopefully my abscess will get better soon, luckily I have a day off today cos if he I hadnt I wouldn't have been going in.

So what can I do while I'm sat here, think i'm gonna check what surverys are on one poll - been doing it months and havent made it to £40 yet its so frustrating!

Also dare I say it.... Im going to write out a christmas list (3 pay days left!)

    Thanks for reading X

I also need to start my xmas list - its never too early.

sorry to hear your poorly.. i hope you feel better soon.

keep going with the surveys - you have to get there soon.

    x

  • Oh my god! I just wrote the longest post EVER and then my log in expired and it disappeared

    Anyways lets try again.....

The abscess became too much last night and I ended up in hospita as the pain was unbareable, was due to have an operation today however the abscess improved through the night as it popped naturally and Im now feeling LOADS better! only thing is, I've had a day off work, and I missed a payment, going to phone them up today though and explain the situation and hopefully they wont be too mad at me

I've put my christmas list together and I have 18 people to buy for! these are.

    Other half
    Mum
    Dad
    Grandma
    Sister
    2 Brothers
    2 Sister in Laws
    Brother in Law
    Mother in Law
    3 Nieces
    1 Nephew
    3 Children (close friends children)

I have got some bits, as my sister shops througout the year (starting from boxing day!) and if she sees anything for me she gets it! So need to get up in the loft and look at what goodies i've got.

Also I spoke to 1 brother and my sister and told them I wouldnt be buying them much, as I buy for them their partners and their kids and end up spending around £100 per house hold where as there is only me and OH and they don't spend that much on us (not that it's about the money still) so I said I will still buy for kids and I will get them some chocs, or maybe a hamper per couple or something? any ideas greatly appreicated!

So I start Uni next week, and I have received a student loan payment plan today, get my first installment next week, and Im also waiting for news on my bursary, once ive paid for my uni fees will decide what to do with and cash left over!

Anyway Thanks for reading, sorry it's been a long one today :D

  • Found some brilliant threads on here regarding hampers, someone did a lot of hard work and put everything in once place! think im def gonna go with the hampers idea, for brother / sister and partners. Think £10 per basket is my budget, so now... what do i put in them...

I thought a bottle of bucks fizz, couple of bottles of beer, some chocs just not sure what else?

Also think i'm gonna do this for OH sister using ideas from the book lover thread.

  • How old is your oh? Remember he isn't seeing it as a problem the debt so you need a plan in place for his outbursts ie if u have a seperate account pay all bills from that so whatever is in the joint account is spars or sit down with him show him the black and White of the situation. It was me in the clouds about ours and then suddenly I saw what oh was seeing and felt terrible. He just needs a gently nudge x x

  • Morning happytogetdebtfree, he's 26! the problem is that he does need his own account. very long story but I have my own account and then we have a joint account for bils, which he gets his wages paid into and uses as his own account, which i keep telling him his not appropriate, i dont know about a gently nudge, he's heading for a good hard smack! (joking by the way)
