hey hun... men can be so frustrating sometimes, my OH seems like an angel, but I know as soon as we have kids and our money will be spent on them rather than ourselves he will have big problems with not being able to buy computer games or ridiculously expensive shoes (of which he has 4 nearly identical pairs brand new in boxes...!!!) I wonder if I could get away with ebaying them!!!!

Big hugs to you, so glad you are much better today can't imagine the pain you must have been in. I need to make a christmas list too, I love christmas, although the expense I can do with out, I only have 2 more pay days until christmas, best get saving!!!

i wouldn't be joking about slapping my OH if he did that. Thankfully my Oh lets me take full control (it's my debt anyway) and he puts money into the bills account. I'm still trying to get him to understand why i don't want him to go overdrawn each month but i'm sure it will sink in eventually and we're not talking about huges sums at the end of the day (it's my debt that's huge)
  • Well im a little worried this evening, I start uni next week, currently work full time and the plan was to continue working with a 30 hour contract, however my timetable has arrived and im at uni 5 days a week a couple of days are only for 2 hours but im thinking im going to have to reduce my hours at work, but i just dont know if i can afford it, if i didnt have the debts it would be fine :( really wanna do this, ive been wanting to do it for years :(

    Morning,

I'm hoping to work sat, sundays, and 2 evenings a week, my main concern is that work will get sick of me changing my preferences, and also my job isn't near uni so travelling just makes it harder, so it might be that I have to find a job closer, its hard ive worked for my company for 3 years and worked my way up to a managers position, and really enjoy it, I think the experience will really help me to get a job once qualified!

ooooh I became frugal overnight, I'm now obsessed by saving money and being super vigilant on low prices lol.... have some of my frugalness.... I think I have too much!!!

You will be fine I'm sure.... these things always work out... I can look back at lots of times in my life where I thought there's no way I can get through this and I always managed it... maybe a little bit scathed and a little bit wiser but I still got there, so I'm sure you will too.

  • Hi people!

I've had a terrible few days, as you all know I've been abit poorly, which has also resulted in a ridiculus amount of takeaways / pub lunches :eek:

Also as you know from my first post I was due to get married but later it got cancelled, well yesterday should have been the day so that was pretty tough :(

Looked in the freezer and its EMPTY so no wonder we have been eating the take aways, gonna go out later and do a freezer shop.

OH still hasn't had his LBM which is starting to get on my nerves abit now.

Anyway I'll come back again when I'm not so mardy I think lol xxxx
